We received some eager enquiries over the last couple of weeks and felt guilty at having to maintain the suspense. We thank our judges for putting in the time and effort to examine the applications and help us finalise the shortlist. We will provide more details in our Agrow Awards Curtain Raiser issue in October on what these entries contained that helped them make it to the list. As is evident from the shortlist, there is a broad diversity within the applications. Companies and institutions of different sizes and geographical locations are pitted against each other. Competition has been especially intense in some categories, and we have been forced to accommodate more than our stipulated maximum of five per category. I encourage the ones who could not make it to the shortlist to give it another energetic attempt next year.
