AMERICA’S HOME COOKING: FROM THE GARDEN
March 2011- April 2014 (check local listings)
– Recipes Made by You, “From the Garden” to the Table –
Food co-ops, farmers markets and community and rooftop gardens
have become commonplace in many American communities. Fresh,
organic foods are replacing frozen and pre-packaged foods in many
popular restaurants and families are re-discovering eating homecooked meals together around the dinner table. AMERICA’S
HOME COOKING: FROM THE GARDEN will show anyone
who wants to use fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs from their own
gardens or other community resources how to easily prepare tasty,
healthy dishes. AMERICA’S HOME COOKING: FROM THE
GARDEN is part of special programming premiering on PBS
stations beginning March 5, 2011 and airing through April 4,
2014 (check local listings).
Produced by public broadcasting’s WQED Multimedia in Pittsburgh,
Chris Fennimore hosts and invites his favorite cooks to join him in the
kitchen. They’ll help viewers prepare a variety of organic, wholesome
dishes including:
