SAIPA DIESEL COMPANY
Established in 1963, Saipa Diesel Company,launched
its production by manufacturing heavy-duty Mack trucks
and various types of semi-trailers.Ceasing the production of
Mack trucks in 1979 subsequent to the break-up of political
ties with the U.S. government, the former “Iran Kaveh”
concluded an agreement with the renowned Volvo Co. of
Sweden in 1983 for mass-production of Volvo heavy-duty
trucks.
Saipa Diesel’s current range of products consists of:
- Heavy duty Kaveh tractor and tipper trucks
- Heavy duty Alborz tractor and tipper trucks
-Light duty Alvand rigid trucks
-Heavy duty Volvo Tractor trucks
Saipa Diesel’s headquarters with its truck plant, staffing
about 1500 personnel, is located at the 14th km. of Karaj
Special Road, Tehran, Iran. Saipa Diesel successfully
exported trucks to Iraq,Kuwait,U.A.E, Syria, Yemen,
Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, Sudan, Angola and spare parts to
Italy and subsequently was elected as one of the
outstanding exporters among the Industrial Development
& Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) subsidiaries in
the year 2007.Saipa Diesel has sales and after sales
agencies in Iraq,Syria,Kuwait and the U.A.E and seeks to
expand its network of agencies in its export target
markets.
