COURSE DESCRIPTION: This 8-hour hands-on-course is designed to enhance the knowledge of Law Enforcement personnel regarding Street Drugs and Paraphernalia. During this unique course, the students will participate in the cutting, packaging, weighing, and preparation for use of simulated drugs. Common street drugs including Methamphetamine, Heroin, Cocaine, Marijuana, PCP, Club Drugs and the associated paraphernalia will be examined. The students will also learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance or synthetic. Articulation of possession for “personal use” verses possession for “sales” will also be examined. This is an excellent course for both newer and experienced LE personnel.
