The Adler Graduate School Announces the Grand Opening of its
Expanded Library and Dedication of the New Research Centers:
Café Central – An Adlerian Research Center
and
The Harold H. Mosak Adlerian Mastery Lab
April 25, 2015 from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM CDT
The Adler Graduate School is creating a rich and inspiring place where Adlerians from around the world may
gather. The Adler Graduate School’s Library, Café Central and the Harold H. Mosak Adlerian Mastery Lab will
celebrate Adlerian Psychology and Adlerian Scholars, including Adlerian Women.
The Adler Graduate School is now home to collections from Dr. Harold H. Mosak, Margot Adler, and Mim Pew.
In addition, Ellen Mendel and the Alfred Adler Institute of New York’s Board of Directors have generously
donated most of their library collection, which has ultimately become a key part of AGS’s holdings. Dr. Wes
Wingett has also made substantial contributions of scholarly resources, and additional collections from other
fellow Adlerians have also been promised.
Following a day-long workshop with Marion Balla, please join us for the following events:
4:30 - 5:30 PM
How to Like Yourself, presented by Dr. Harold H. Mosak, one of the world’s foremost
Adlerian Scholars and author of numerous works on Adlerian Psychology.
5:30 - 6:15 PM
Social Time, Hors d’ Oeuvres, Self-Guided Tours, and Music with Aaron
Swestka.
6:15 - 7:30 PM
Official Dedication of the Research Centers. You will hear from Marion Balla,
Dr. Harold H. Mosak, Dr. Jill Duba Sauerheber, President of the North American Society
of Adlerian Psychology, Ellen Mendel, President of the Alfred Adler Institute of New
York, and Dr. Marina Bluvshtein, the Adler Graduate School’s Director for Adlerian
Studies and Online Education.
7:30 - 8:30 PM
Special Evening Program. Following her presentation during the dedication
ceremony, Ellen Mendel will invite us to continue the journey to experience the founding
and beginnings of the Alfred Adler Institute of New York with its founders and key
players. Dr. Jill Duba Sauerheber, president of the North American Society of Adlerian
Psychology, will discuss the history of NASAP and will answer questions about joining
the organization.
