Arrival/Check in/Departure
Check in begins at 1:00 p.m. EDT on Thursday, July 30, 2015.
All Attendees should arrive no later than 4:00 p.m. EDT to allow
time to get checked into your room and with the conference.
Elevate will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. EDT and all attendees
are expected to be in attendance for the entire program which
includes arriving on time. Attendees should check in with the
hotel before checking in with the Fraternity.
When you check in with the Renaissance Columbus Downtown
Hotel, you will need to place a credit card on file with the
hotel’s front desk to cover any incidental charges accrued in
the hotel throughout Elevate.
Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity will make all hotel reservations,
unless otherwise specified on your registration form. Please
direct all reservation related questions to

Checkout Time for the Renaissance Columbus Downtown
Hotel is 12:00 p.m. EDT on Sunday, August 2. All attendees
are required to leave their hotel room prior to the hotel check
out time, but may stay on site as long as they would like. The
program will conclude on Saturday evening.

Travel Information
The Fraternity will not make travel arrangements or
provide travel reimbursement to any attendee for Elevate
- International Leadership Conference. Transportation to
and from the event is the responsibility of each individual.
Attendees should plan to arrive no later than 4:00 p.m. EDT on
Thursday, July 30.
The Renaissance Downtown Columbus Hotel is located just
eight miles from the Port Columbus International Airport
(CMH). Alpha Sigma Phi has reserved special rates with My
Chauffeur transportation service and Uber.
Airport Shuttle Information:
My Chauffeur Transportation Service
One Way: $12 cash
Attendees will be provided a discounted group shuttle rate
of $12 one way from the Port Columbus Airport to the
Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel. Attendees must
pay in cash for this fare. Elevate attendees should look for
Alpha Sigma Phi branded directional signage in the Ground
Transportation area of the terminal.
Uber
Attendees may utilize a customized new user promo code for
transport to Elevate. New users to Uber may use this code for
one free first ride, valid for rides up to $20. This code will be
provided via email to attendees on July 28, 2015.
Arrival by Taxi:
Taxi service is available to and from the airports with prices
ranging from $18-$20. Taxis can be found in the Ground
Transportation area of the terminal.
Parking:
Valet parking is available for a discounted rate of $15 per car
per day for overnight attendees from July 28 - August 2, 2015.

Thursday, July 30 – The day’s events call for casual
attire; attendees are encouraged to wear an appropriate
university or college shirt. For the Rooftop BBQ, attendees will
have access to the swimming pool. Please pack accordingly.
Friday, July 31 – The day’s events call for a shirt and
tie with dress pants/khakis, dress shoes, and your badge.
After 7:15 p.m., undergraduates have free time, so dress
accordingly.
Saturday, August 1 – The day’s events call for a shirt
and tie with dress pants/khakis, dress shoes, and your badge.
A suit with a tie and dress shoes is the attire for the closing
banquet.

and only if that shirt is tucked
in, so please wear your badge
appropriately.

Educational Track Information
Career Prep Track
An experiential learning curriculum designed to enhance your
knowledge, behaviors, and skills around resume writing, interviewing,
and transitioning to the workforce past college. This track is designed to
help you land your dream job.
Health & Wellness Track
Participants in this track will create a personal wellness plan that
focuses on diet, exercise, and lifestyle. We will cover strategies for
maximizing opportunities to lead a better, balanced life.
Housing Track
The opportunity to live together is one of the most exciting aspects of
the Alpha Sig experience! Whether you already have housing or you
have no idea where to begin, this track will cover every aspect of joint
living for chapters and colonies.
Recruitment Track
Do you want to see a higher quantity of higher quality men in your
chapter/colony? This track is designed to provide you the knowledge
of how to implement recruitment teams, create a summer recruitment
plan, and how to best engage your current members in a continuous
recruitment process.
Ritual Track
Master the ceremonies of Alpha Sigma Phi by learning the ins-and-outs
of our public ceremonies. Track participants will have the opportunity
to perform select ceremonies in front of everyone on the final day of
Elevate!
Service & Philanthropy Track
Two years ago, Alpha Sigma Phi announced a values-focused
philanthropic model that changed the way Alpha Sigs looked at
philanthropy forever. Now it’s time to get into the streets and give back
to our partners! This track will have programming about each of our
five partners and take us outside of the hotel to do service projects
throughout Columbus.
Toastmasters Lite: Professional Speaking Track
Do you want to become comfortable speaking in front of groups? This
interactive track will provide you the tips to engage an audience, skills
to maximize your thoughts on many subjects, and how to work the room
like a professional!

Conference Information
Cancellation Policy:
Alpha Sigma Phi always encourages finding a replacement
rather than cancelling. There is no penalty for finding a
replacement and a full refund will be issued, minus the $25
processing fee. Those attendees who wish to cancel must notify
Alpha Sigma Phi by email at [email protected]. Phone
calls are not an accepted form of cancellation.
Those who cancel 60 days prior to the program will receive a
full refund, minus the Administrative Processing fee. Those
who cancel 59 days or fewer prior to the program will receive
no refund. Those undergraduates attendees who cancel during
the event and/or do not show will be assessed the full cost of
the program, which is $500 per person. Any account balance
left unpaid after 30 days is placed on the chapter statement
and could be sent to a collection agency. All collection fees will
become the responsibility of the member; if left unpaid, the fee
becomes the chapter’s responsibility.
Cell Phone Use:
Please put all electronic devices on silent during educational
sessions. You can check messages during breaks, meals, and in
the evenings after the activities have concluded for the day.
Conduct:
While attending the Elevate – International Leadership
Conference, you will be representing Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity
and the entire Fraternity community. You have an excellent
opportunity to leave a positive impression with the hotel staff
and guests throughout the conference. Capitalizing on this
opportunity would require abiding by Alpha Sigma Phi’s Code of
Conduct and Risk Management Policies, including obeying the
Ohio State Law regarding alcohol consumption. Alpha Sigma Phi
reserves the right to send attendees home, without refund, for
any inappropriate or unlawful behavior.

Conference Information
Travel Emergencies:
In case of an emergency, the front desk can connect you to the
conference office. Outside callers will reach the front desk and
should state that the person being called is with Alpha Sigma
Phi Fraternity. Should an emergency arise during your travel to
Columbus, please contact Danny Miller at (352) 216-4704.
Meals:
Elevate will provide attendees with the following meals:
Thursday dinner, lunch and dinner on Friday, and lunch and
dinner on Saturday. If attendees need additional snacks or
beverages, they are encouraged to bring those with them to
Elevate - International Leadership Conference or bring spending
money.
Smoking/Smokeless Tobacco:
The Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel is a
smoke-free property. Although smoking is not permitted within
hotel buildings themselves, guests who smoke are permitted to
do so outside in designated areas. Smokeless tobacco and/or
electronic cigarettes will not be permitted during any activity of
Elevate - International Leadership Conference. Please respect
the nature of this event and the health and well-being of others.
