Countdown to our 5th Reunion! - Cornell Alumni

5 th R e u n i o n
JUNE 4–7, 2015
Countdown to our 5th Reunion!
D
o you remember prelims, problem sets, and the stress of final
exams? How about trudging to 8:00 a.m. classes in the snow,
studying in library basements, or feeling like you might never
catch up on your class readings? We’re returning to Ithaca this
June for our 5th Reunion to do NONE of these things. Reunion is all
about the parts of Cornell that you loved—the friends, the campus,
the camaraderie, and the partying. Forget the stress. Forget the
snow and the prelims and the hills. We’re returning to Ithaca this
June 4–7 to do nothing but relive the good times!
Special accommodations – Please indicate if you’ll need
handicap access, cribs, etc.
Spouse/partner accommodations – The majority of rooms
in Clara Dickson Hall are single rooms. This means that some
couples may not be roomed together
Overflow housing – Our overflow housing is Balch Hall and
Low Rise 7. If you prefer a quieter place to stay, please indicate this
in your request
Registration is now open! Make sure to sign up before May 10 to
receive the early bird rates. Below are a few things you might want
to know to make the most of your return home to Cornell.

INVITE YOUR FRIENDS!
We’ve got a whole committee working hard to make sure our 5th
Reunion is an absolutely unforgettable weekend—but it will only
be as amazing as the classmates who join us. We need your help
getting the word out! Here’s what you can do:
• “Like” the Class of 2010 Facebook Page
facebook.com/cuclassof2010
• Let your friends know you’ve registered on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #CUReun10n
• Send an e-postcard letting friends know you’ll be at Reunion (alumni.cornell.edu/reunion).
• Reach out to your affinity networks (Greek, athletics, student organizations, etc.) to promote Reunion.
Can’t wait to see you all in Ithaca this summer!

Package FAQs
What else does the registration fee include?
All packages include class receptions and meals, souvenirs, class shuttles, tent parties, headquarters snacks and beverages, and most
university events.
What is NOT included?
The university Kids Club (formerly the Youth Program) and other optional childcare programs, some athletic events, concerts, and the
optional events listed on your registration form.
What if I register and then can’t come?
We are happy to offer refunds if you cancel before May 24.
Can I register when I get there?
Yes, you can—but please consider that it’s much easier on your class Reunion planners if you sign up beforehand so they can order
enough food and beverages for the weekend.
What is the class wine tour?
The wine tour is an optional activity on Friday. There is an additional charge of $50 per adult, which includes bus transportation, lunch,
and tastings at various Cayuga Lake wineries. Our buses will leave campus at approximately 10:30 a.m. and return at approximately
4:00 p.m. Final details will be sent to registrants as they are confirmed. Space is limited, so sign up early!

Housing FAQs
What’s included in the room fee?
The university provides bath towels, bed linens, hangers, wireless Internet, and a daily towel
exchange. You’ll want to bring your own alarm clock, hair dryer, and a fan in case of warm
weather. Remember that most residence halls do not have air-conditioning in the guest rooms.
When is check in/check out?
Thursday at noon/Sunday by noon
Can I smoke in the residence halls or bring my pet?
No, you may not smoke, and only service animals are welcome.
Can I get a room near my friends?
We can try! You may request to room near someone when you register. We want to make our
Reunion a great time for everyone and we will try our best to accommodate all requests for
housing. Please keep in mind that we have a large class, so accommodating all requests will
be difficult. We will give priority to those who are staying for a minimum of two nights. Only
members of your group who register by May 10 and who mutually request each other will be
considered.
I have special medical or mobility needs—is it practical for me to stay in the residence halls?
Yes! To communicate specific medical or mobility needs, contact your class registration chair by
May 24.
Are there hotel rooms available in Ithaca during Reunion?
A limited number of rooms in several hotels have been blocked for alumni returning to Cornell.
Please keep in mind that availability may be limited at this point. Review the hotel information on
the Cornell Reunion website, and call your favorite hotel directly for a reservation on a first-come,
first served basis. Be sure to ask for the Reunion block.
3. MAKE A GIFT IN HONOR OF OUR 5TH REUNION CAMPAIGN
Our goal is to have every classmate make a gift to Cornell as part of our Reunion campaign. Each
gift to Cornell, regardless of the amount or designation, counts in our class totals and helps support
today’s Cornellians. You can make your gift by visiting giving.cornell.edu/give, or by calling the Cornell
Annual Fund at 1-800-279-3099. Please make your gift today since we plan to announce our class
totals during Reunion Weekend and we want to make sure to include your gift.
