We are passionate about wood and for this very reason we insist on using solid materials in the construction of our cupboards. Unlike the majority of our competitors who embrace the use of Melamine coated Chipboard, we prefer to use hardwoods such as Poplar, Oak. The basis for any good finish is great preparation. We begin by hand sanding all of the cupboard components before applying an initial hand sprayed primer. This base coat is then flattened by hand before a subsequent second coat is applied. Finally we apply two top coats in your chosen colour. The first coat is hand sprayed, with the finish coat being applied by brush to create a less clinical and more natural look to the furniture. 6 Amano Furniture Amano Furniture 7 Selecting your Cupboards Selecting your Cupboards Selecting your Cupboards… Choose a style. All of our featured cupboards are available in one of two door and drawer styles. For all cupboards with hinged doors, a decision needs to be made as to whether the cupboard door should open to the left or the right so that hinges may be cut into doors and cupboard frames accordingly. Choose a colour form one of our eight standard colours, or any colour from the Farrow & Ball and Zoffany paint ranges. For glazed and open shelved cupboards interiors are painted to match the exterior. Depending on your choice of handles, all of our cupboards are supplied with either polished chrome, or self-coloured brass hinges and matching magnetic catches. Choose one of 13 handle styles to complete your look. Finishing touches…. All of our wall cupboards can be finished off with a choice of two cornice styles to complement the door and drawer style. Our cupboards are designed to either form part of a fitted run, or by the inclusion of applied décor ends, can be used to create freestanding features.
