The 62nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Anesthesiologists:
Instructions for Presenters and Chairs
■ ‌
Presenter Instructions
Disclosure of Conflict of Interest (COI) at the Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Anesthesiologists
In accordance with the Regulation of application of approval for Conflict of Interest Policy, published on June 1, 2010,
the Japanese Society of Anesthesiologist (JSA) obligates the speakers at the academic meetings organized by the JSA,
including JSA annual and regional meetings, to disclose any conflict of interest that the speakers or their collaborators (e.g.
co-authors and co-researchers) may have. When you submit your abstract, please disclose any conflict of interest related to
your abstract.
Please also declare such conflict of interest at the time of your presentation on the day of the meeting. Oral presenters
must include a statement regarding conflict of interest into the second page of their slides. Poster presenters must include
a status regarding conflict of interest at the bottom of the poster. For more details, click here
(http://www.anesth.or.jp/meeting/riesou.html).
Handling of Personal Information at the Annual Meeting of Japan Society of Anesthesiologists
When the contents of a presentation may interfere with personal information of the patients, the presenters are required
to ensure that informed consent has been obtained from all patients or their legal agents. Please keep in mind that
details that might disclose the identity of the subjects should be omitted. Presentation that includes patient identifying
information will be prohibited.
■Regarding General Presentations
The general presentations are given in the following three categories. We ask all presenters to make preparations
according to the guidelines provided for each category.
1) Excellent Poster
The presentation is to be given with slides for 10 minutes and followed by a discussion for 5 minutes. There is no limit
for the number of slides you can use. You also need to prepare a poster to be displayed. Please put up your posters at
Kobe International Exhibition Hall, Hall No.1 Building, 1F.
From each presentation session, a Best Presentation Awards presentation will be selected. The Awards will be
presented at Congress Banquet on Friday, May 28, and publicized on the Society’s Web site later.
2) Poster Discussion
The presentation is to be given with slides for 7 minutes and followed by a discussion for 5 minutes in the poster
presentation room. Four slides are to be prepared (for the background, target and methods, results, and conclusion of
the study), and a poster needs to be displayed also. For more details, please check “Information for Presenters of Poster
Discussion” and “Information for Poster Display.”
3) Poster Presentation
The presentation is to be given in front of the poster for 5 minutes and followed by a discussion for 3 minutes.
* For the size and other details about the poster, please check “Information for Poster Display.”
