ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL KHADAKWASLA T H E S A H YAD IR IS ANNUAL FUNCTION: INDIA THROUGH THE AGES India's glorious history came alive on stage when APS Khadakwasla celebrated its Annual Day on 22 Jan 2015.The spectacular performances by the students left the audience spellbound as they portrayed the different ages of India from the Vedic Age to Contemporary India. The glimpses into India's past and the promise of a golden future enthralled the audience. While the tiny tots of class I and II depicted the Vedic age performing various scenes from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, the other classes portrayed various landmark incidents from India's glorious legacy. The Mughal era, the glorious Gupta period and the struggle for Independence were also brilliantly performed by the students. The mélange of dance and drama was filled with colour, poise and impeccable grace. The chief guest , Air Marshal R K S Bhadauria AVSM VM, Commandant NDA Khadakwasla complimented the Principal Mrs. Simple Sahay , staff and students for putting up such a grand spectacle ,the memories of which would stay forever with all. The Chief Guest Col DK Barthwal hoisted the National Flag .The school choir sung patriotic songs after which the chief guest addressed the students . "You must be the change you want to see in the World" – Mahatma Gandhi FEATHERS IN OUR CAP Students of APS Khadakwasla participated in National Science & International Maths Olympiad conducted by SOF on 20 Nov 2014 & 5 Dec 2014 respectively. Students securing first rank were awarded Gold Medals . Ansh Gudibanda of Class V & Arjun Singh Rajora of Class III secured 28 & 43 ranks at State Level in NSO & IMO respectively. IQube Students of classes VI—VIII also participated in the IQube exam conducted by Institute for Illumination of Intelligence Quotient (IQube) which tests IQ related aspects like Quantitative Analysis, Problem Solving, Logical Reasoning, Visual reasoning, Analytical reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Verbal & non-verbal Reasoning, Spatial Interpretation, Linguistics, Social Intelligence, Memory, etc. It was indeed overwhelming to receive the Students Intelligence Analysis which shows that our 7th graders are way ahead of 7th Graders of other schools & Overall School Intelligence Analysis of our school is at par with other schools in all the skills. 27 students qualified for the second round to be conducted on 09 April 2015 . Around 5000 students from 50 schools across Pune participated in the IQube examination. Col Anand Mishra , CO MH Khadakwasla delivered a talk on causes, symptoms and prevention of Swine Flu . He also gave away certificates to students who successfully completed the First Aid & Life Saving Course conducted in coordination with MH Khadakwasla in the month of November 2014 . A core team of 20 students & 02 staff members has been formed who will further train the other students in fighting of emergencies . A pilot program for developing PILOT PROGRAM assessment Life Skills & Attitude & Values was conducted in the school from 18 March 2015 to 22 March 2015 in coordination with prepmyskills.com. A positive feedback was received from the students & staff as it enabled students to develop the right skills by exposing them to various scenarios & at the same time it would simplify assessment of co scholastic areas for teachers on final implementation. (SKILL REPARATION) PTM & BOOK EXHIBITION An Open House was organized on 7th Feb to give away results of Evaluation 3 Assessment 1.
