From making “Goop” to erupting volcanoes, your child will practice their observation skills, measuring, sorting, and learn basic chemical reactions – curiosity welcomed! Chess: Chess has long been regarded as an activity that can help develop one’s analytical thinking and decision-making skills. We want our students to develop a passion for the game while exercising their minds. Each week we have a focused lesson, followed by some free play, allowing students to practice their skills and sportsmanship. Medieval Robotics: In this unique course, developed by H.M.Logi’s team of experts, kids will enter the fascinating world of medieval times while reviving old-style machinery using cuttingedge technology. Building machinery from scratch introduces students to fundamentals of robotics. As they use infra-red remote controls, transmission gears and other electronic tools, they will develop thinking strategies, motor skills and dedication. They will also get to experiment in gaming strategies, and develop their critical thinking. Join us in an amusing and engaging journey into the past and the future! Nutrition Chefs: This class teaches healthy eating habits and introduces the children to different cultures. Through hands on recipes, children learn cooking can be fun and nutritious. The class IMPORTANT DATES 4 / 7 4 / 13 5 / 25 5 / 29 encourages children to try new foods, learn about the food pyramid and practice counting and measuring, all while having fun in the kitchen. Animal Encounters: Join us as we close out winter and begin to blossom into spring with all of our BABY ANIMALS! Animal Encounters is a hands-on class with live, kid-friendly animals. Each week, students handle a variety of small/baby animals like snakes, lizards, furry critters, birds, and farm animals. In this fun and gentle learning environment, students learn about the featured animal through a variety of ways. This includes stories, games, or a related arts/craft project. Our main featured animal will be a baby pig! Soccer: Does your child love soccer? In this class, participants will improve their athletic capacity by engaging in fun games, technical skill development, group activities, and friendly competition. Hip Hop: Allow your child to express his or her creativity! Students will learn the basics of hip hop dance to some of today’s biggest hits as they improve their endurance, flexibility, and strength. Photography: Introduction to Digital Photography. The kids will use digital cameras to take photograph subjects. Students learn about composition, light, proportions and many other elements of photography. The class designs a slide show with music as a final project. Cameras are provided!
