Summer Camp Information • All Summer Camp payments must be received by 3:30pm on Friday, May 15th • Individual camp fees can be found on the following pages. Fees range from $80-$100 per session. • In addition to these fees, a one-time, non-refundable registration fee (which includes 1 free Camp T-shirt) is required: Registration Fee: $30 per camper (before May 8th) $45 (after May 8th) **Please coordinate with friends/family before submitting payment and registration information. Changes and/or refunds will not be made after payment and registration have been submitted. • Before Care will be offered daily from 8:00am - 8:45am Weekly Before Care Rate: $20/week Daily Before Care Rate: $5/day (due upon drop-off) • After Care will be offered daily from 4:00pm - 5:30pm Weekly After Care Rate: $40/week Daily After Care Rate: $10/day (due upon pick-up) • Campers must bring their own lunches from home. Forms may be emailed/mailed/brought to Chapelle or faxed to 504-‐466-‐3191. Chapelle Camp Policies and Procedures 1. No refunds will be issued once campers have registered for a camp/camps. This includes the registration fee, any/all camp fees, T-shirt fees, Before and After Care, Lunch, etc. 2. Once registered for a camp/camps, campers will not be allowed to switch into another camp. This is due to the fact that all camp supplies and availabilities are based on the number of campers registered for a particular camp. Please coordinate with friends/family before registering for any summer camp sessions. 3. Camps will be offered based on the number of campers registered. If a camp does not enroll at least 10 campers, that camp will be cancelled. Should this occur, parents will be notified and allowed to select a different camp for their daughter(s). 4. All campers are required to wear the 2015 camp T-shirt and tennis shoes every day. No other T-shirts and/or shoes will be allowed at camp. 5. ALL Drop-off and pick-up will take place behind the gym for ALL campers (Acorn and Summer Camp). 6. Camp issued carpool tags must be visible and present when picking up campers. The camper’s last name should be legible on the carpool tag. Please write their last name in BIG, BOLD letters! 7. If a camper should have to leave camp earlier than dismissal time, a parent is required to sign them out in the camp office. 8. If a camper is going home with another camper, please send a signed note to and/or call the camp office indicating that information. 9. The only snacks that will be available at camp will be those from our concession stand for campers to purchase. Campers may also bring snacks from home to enjoy during snack breaks. Lunch will also be available for purchase, or campers may bring their own lunches from home. 10. Before/After Care: --Before Care begins at 8:00 a.m. If you are coming to Before Care, you may arrive no earlier than 8:00 a.m. Before Care will be in the gym. All campers not registered for Before Care will be charged a daily rate of $5.00 that must be paid by cash or check upon being dropped off. Campers arriving between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m. will not be charged for before care. --Dismissal time is 3:30 p.m. Parents must pick up their campers promptly when camp is over. If campers are not picked up before 4:00 p.m., they will be sent to after care with a charge of $10.00 per day. This amount must be paid by cash or check when picking up a camper/campers. After care will be held in the gym. After Care ends at 5:30 p.m. If campers are not picked up by 5:30 p.m. there will be an additional charge of $5/minute. --Anyone who has not paid the Before or After Care fee on the day it is due will not be allowed to return to camp the following day until the amount is paid in full. 11. Campers enrolled in a morning and afternoon camp, may purchase lunch from Chapelle, or they may bring a lunch from home. 12. All electronic devices must be left at home. Technology will only distract and disengage campers. If you, as their parent, feel they need to bring these devices, they must be kept in their bags. This policy is to ensure that no items are lost or misplaced. If electronic devices are taken out during the camp day, they will be taken away and stored in the camp office until the end of the day. A parent must then sign for and pickup the device at the end of the day. After two offenses of this nature, campers will not be allowed to return to camp, and fees will not be refunded. During this stylish and fun camp session, campers will design and create their own jewelry and accessory lines. Possible projects include necklaces, pillows, purses, scarves, and more. You will be looking glamorous by the time this camp is through as you create your own fashion masterpieces this summer at Chapelle! *Baking with Chips Join us in the kitchen for Chapelle’s “Baking with Chips!” Campers will learn basic baking techniques and tips while learning to create the best-‐looking and best-‐tasting cookies, cakes, cupcakes, and more! *Broadway Join us on Broadway as we learn and perform scenes and songs from America’s top musicals! Campers will practice and perfect singing and dancing routines in preparation for a mini-‐Broadway performance at the end of the week. Be a “show-‐stopper” this summer during Chapelle’s Broadway Camp! Cabbage Ball/Softball Join us this summer at Chapelle and learn the fundamentals of cabbage ball and softball from members of the Chapelle softball team. This camp will emphasize and help girls develop their skills in batting, fielding, pitching, and catching, while they practice key communication skills and team unity. Bring your glove and team spirit and be a part of Chapelle’s summer camp softball team! Chameleon In this colorful camp, girls will experience a different theme each day. From sports to painting, karaoke to silly games, survivor competitions, and beyond, get ready for a non-‐stop, fun-‐filled week in Camp Chameleon! Cheerleading Cheering Chipmunk campers will learn a variety of cheerleading skills from Chapelle’s State Champion Cheerleaders! Campers will review basic cheering techniques, learn new chants & cheers, and choreograph dances while learning engaging crowd techniques, practicing proper stretching and toning exercises, and mastering impressive jumps. Do you love to cheer? Then, join us and be part of Chapelle’s Summer Camp Cheerleading Team! *Chipmunk All-‐Stars Sharpen your athletic skills while having fun, making new friends, and winning awesome prizes! Campers will play exciting, new versions of classic indoor & outdoor games and learn new favorites along the way. Chipmunks Got Talent Can you sing, dance, perform magic tricks, or do you have a unique talent? Then, join us for Chipmunks Got Talent! The Chapelle Hi-‐Steppers dance team would love to share their love of dance with you. Come join us to learn dance team style routines (Jazz, Pom & Parade) and get help choreographing your own routine to be performed at a “Show of Dances” on the last day of the week. All experience levels are welcome. Come show us what you’ve got while getting an introduction to the dance team experience. *Hunger Games Join us this summer at Chapelle for our very own Hunger Games Camp! During this camp, activities and games will be associated with the hit book and movie series, The Hunger Games. All activities will be offered in the name of fun, and no physical or dangerous combat will take place. This camp will revolve around one of four daily themes: survival, skill improvement, physical training, and alliance building. On the final day we will test your abilities in the ultimate competition. Can you survive The Hunger Games? *iMovie “Lights, camera, action!” Get ready to be the director, editor, and producer of your own film this summer during Chapelle’s iMovie Camp! Girls will learn how to shoot, edit, and produce their own videos and will leave this camp with a movie masterpiece to share with family and friends for years to come! *Leadership Do you want to be a leader or want to improve your leadership skills? Do you want to positively affect other people—to help them accomplish important goals— and have fun along the way? Then, join us for Leadership Camp! This camp will be full of fun team building exercises, innovative games, group activities, and more, as campers spend time with Chapelle’s own student leaders and Student Council representatives. Find your Chipmunk Spunk and leadership style this summer during Chapelle’s Leadership Camp! *Mystery Madness Do you love a good mystery? Think you can crack the case? In this camp, girls will become undercover detectives, go on daily scavenger hunts, piece-‐together clues to solve top-‐secret cases, find suspects, and create life-‐sized games of the famous board game, Clue. Join us this summer at Chapelle for our mysterious and exciting “Mystery Madness” camp! *NOLA & Chipmunk Art Fall in love with New Orleans and Chapelle during this locally inspired art camp. Possible projects include: New Orleans’ neighborhood fence board art, NOLA inspired necklaces, fleur de lis picture frames, chipmunk portraits, and more. Make new friends and explore the art that is unique to NOLA and the Chapelle Chipmunks! *Posh Paper Project In this crafty camp, girls will explore the world of paper-‐based art. From scrapbooks to paper lanterns, stationary to fun flowers and other room accessories, this camp will let you show off your sense of style in an eco-‐friendly way. Join us this summer for a “posh paper” experience! *Recreation and Sports Get moving with unique and exciting games, while having fun with friends. Participants will play well-‐known games like Capture the Flag and Money Ball, and will be introduced to some exciting new games like Bound Ball, Bongo Congo and Six-‐Base Blooper Ball. Come join the fun and get active during Chapelle’s Recreation and Sports Camp! *Spy Games Are you ready to become a Super-‐Spy? The Agency is looking for recruits who can excel in critical thinking, the use of disguises, physical fitness, and evidence collection. Learn the necessary skills to become a super-‐spy, and then test these skills through assorted activities and games. Do well enough and earn a top-‐secret assignment as a member of The Agency! Survivor Think you can be the “sole survivor” on Chipmunk Island? Then, join us for this exciting, tribal camp! Throughout the week, participants will compete with their tribes in a variety of activities including individual & team relays, obstacle courses, and scavenger hunts. This Survivor Camp will also be full of surprises and mystery events! Competition winners will be awarded “Survivor Points,” but there will be no elimination of any participant. Meet us in the Chapelle gym as we see who will be the Ultimate Survivor! Tennis Grab your racket and join us on the Chapelle tennis courts for a fun and educational camp session! Campers will learn basic tennis techniques, participate in practice matches, learn wacky tennis games, and compete in a mini-‐ tournament at the end of the week. See you on the court for Chapelle Tennis Camp! Volleyball Join us in the gym this summer for Chapelle Volleyball Camp! Girls will learn basic volleyball skills, participate in practice games, and compete in a mini-‐tournament at the end of the week, all hosted by the Chapelle volleyball coach and varsity team members.
