COMMENCEMENT Saturday, May 16, 2015 Northrop Auditorium COLLEGE OF DESIGN COMMENCEMENT May 16, 2015 HAIL! MINNESOTA Minnesota, hail to thee! Hail to thee, our college dear! Thy light shall ever be A beacon bright and clear. Thy sons and daughters true Will proclaim thee near and far. They will guard thy fame And adore thy name; Thou shalt be their Northern Star. Like the stream that bends to sea, Like the pine that seeks the blue; Minnesota, still for thee Thy sons are strong and true. From the woods and waters fair; From the prairies waving far, At thy call they throng with their shout and song; Hailing thee their Northern Star. —Truman Elwell Rickard & Arthur Wheelock Upson PROCESSIONAL Pomp and Circumstance by Edward Elgar WELCOME Thomas Fisher, Dean COMMENCEMENT ADDRESS Doug Powell, Design Principal, IBM Design STUDENT PRESENTATIONS Claire Breyen, Architecture BS Joél Valdez, Graphic Design BFA Grace Larson, Landscape Architecture MLA CONGRATULATIONS FROM THE COLLEGE OF DESIGN STUDENT AND ALUMNI BOARD Beth Bowman, Alumni Society President UNDERGRADUATE HONORS IN THE COLLEGE OF DESIGN Renee Chéng, Associate Dean PRESENTATION OF DEGREE CANDIDATES Kate Maple, Assistant Dean CONFERRING OF DEGREES Regent Laura M.
