How we got here . . .
Looking back through history, it’s easy to understand
how inspiration has been driven by necessity, back to the
invention of the wheel itself. And while the creator of the
first wheel is unknown, the passion still resides in those
building and restoring wheels to this day.
Well aware of the popular wheel designs that rolled
through history, Tom Sensabaugh’s inspiration came from
muscle cars of the ‘60s and early ‘70s. These cars will
always stick out in the automotive world, as they had real
personality, right down to the wheels. While other wheel
manufacturers sought to reinvent history and create all
sorts of new designs, Sensabaugh focused on reliving the
past, one wheel at a time.
A successful insurance agent during the day, Sensabaugh
began spending evenings refurbishing Magnum 500
rims in his home-based shop back in 1983. He cut the
centers from used wheels before restoring their surfaces
and finished them off with new chrome plating and paint.
From there, he pressed these centers into new outer rims
and welded them into a single unit.

With hours of effort in each wheel, Sensabaugh’s
intensions were to rework wheels for his own cars, but
as time passed, his friends saw the finished product and
wanted a set of their own. After restoring a great number
of these wheels and building a reputation, the demand
for his classic rims grew immensely. To keep up with
the demand for his handiwork, Sensabaugh ventured
from his home in Sandy, Oregon in search of well-worn
Magnum wheels to restore.

welding specialist. Machinist Jeff Cannon is responsible
for various aspects of manufacturing including
resurrecting vintage wheel centers, while Kelly South
handles sales and marketing for Specialty Wheel when he
isn’t restoring vintage cars, motocross bikes and guitars.
Forever entranced with cars of all types and especially
Fords, long time car guy Wade Hamann follows in the
tracks of his coworkers, laying down fine finishes on every
wheel in the company lineup. Janet Cantrell is the office
manager, and keeps the business side of the company
in check. All would be lost without the efforts of Julia
Chambers, a sales assistant and purveyor of shipping and
receiving.
Empowered with a new business plan and the infusion of
investment capital, Specialty Wheel is a thriving company
focused on expanding its scope with new possibilities and
opportunities, while keeping the founder’s vision intact.
Necessity is the catalyst for inspiration, and Specialty
Wheel fulfills the needs of automotive enthusiasts with
each and every wheel that rolls out the door.
In the years that followed, Sensabaugh’s shop was
enlarged three different times, and by 1990 his wife
Dolores came up with a more suitable name for his
company—Specialty Wheel. The company expanded
to include several vintage wheel designs and by 2004
was honored with the Specialty Equipment Market
Association (SEMA) New Product Award for the 17-inch
Magnum. Sadly, Sensabaugh passed away the following
year and there was some speculation as to the company’s
future, but alas his hopes and dreams rolled on.
Motivated by a new team of automotive enthusiasts,
Specialty Wheel is in great hands. The new crew is
committed to the heritage, great quality and customer
satisfaction Specialty Wheel is known for, and they strive
to improve the company in every way possible. From fully
restored classics to high-tech street machines, Specialty
Wheel provides timeless styling to these unforgettable
rides in a way that keeps customers coming back.
Keeping the dream alive is the key element for Gregg
Robinson at Specialty Wheel. As a machinist and life-long
racer, tuner and fabricator, this family man knows how
these products impact the lives of his customers. The

used to form wheel centers.
Wade is painting the lug well detail on Pontiac
Rallye II wheels. These wheels are fully powder
coated, then the accent color is hand painted.

layer of semi-bright nickel
is applied followed by

Our form tooling creates better
edge definition. Our wheels have
sharper and straighter lines in the
details around the lug pockets, and
our web between the lug pockets
has a much better blended radius.
All this not only makes the detail
paint look better, but also provides
an overall superior looking wheel.

Keep in mind there are some minimum and maximum
dimensions to deal with. It will be your responsibility
to determine what backspacing dimensions are
needed. Make sure you are extremely accurate
because these will be non-returnable.
NOTE: There are no returns allowed on custom
backspace wheels.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
Specialty Wheel chrome wheels are warranted to the original purchaser only for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
All of Specialty's wheels are warranted for defects in workmanship or material only.
This warranty does not cover damage due to accident, neglect, abuse, or improper tire mounting, usage, damage in shipment,
or application, nor does it apply to any painted finish. Specialty assumes no responsibility for diagnosis, removal and installation
labor, loss of vehicle use, loss of time, inconvenience, and painting or any other consequential damages or expenses.
If, after inspection by Specialty, and if, in its sole discretion, Specialty determines a wheel to be defective, Specialty’s only
obligation under this warranty is to replace or provide the equivalent value of the defective wheel. Those claiming under this
warranty shall, at Specialty's option, have the following remedy in substitution for all other remedies or rights: the right to (a)
repayment; (b) credit towards the purchase price of a new wheel; or, (c) replacement of said wheel. All returned items MUST
BE accompanied by a copy of your invoice and a Return Authorization Number.
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, and all other liabilities, including without limitation, any
warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

ORDERING METHODS

orders may be called in at 800-959-5800 and (503) 491-8848 from 8:00AM to 4:00PM Monday-Friday, PST.
PRICES
Prices are subject to change without notice. Any changes will be discussed at the time your order is placed. Prices do not include
shipping and handling or sales tax, if applicable.
PAYMENT
Payment may be made via cash, check, money order, cashiers check, Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Wire transfers will
be accepted with prior arrangements. Personal checks will be deposited and the funds held for up to 3 weeks before the order is
shipped. All products remain the property of Specialty Wheel until final payment is made.
SHIPPING and Handling
All orders are shipped via Fed Ex ground unless otherwise informed or noted on purchase order. Shipping and handling charges are
in addition to the price of our products and will be included in the total due at the time of your order. Shipments may not be dropped
off without written acceptance at carrier’s discretion. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
We ship daily throughout the world. International orders must be prepaid using one of the payment methods shown above.
RETURNs and Warranty
We want you to be pleased with your purchase. We cannot accept unauthorized returns. Please e-mail, call, or write us regarding
problems with an order for assistance or return authorization number. Returned parts must be unmounted, in original condition, in
original packaging and received by Specialty Wheel no later than 30 days after sale for a refund. No return will be accepted without
a copy of the original invoice. Returned items are thoroughly inspected prior to determination of credit, replacement or refusal.
There is no refund or return on special order items. A 20% restocking fee may be charged to all returns not due to our error. There
is no refund for a shipping and handling charge on returned items. We will replace defective parts, but cannot accept responsibility
for inconvenience or losses occasioned by their use or labor involved in their installation and removal. There is no warranty if parts
have become defective due to faulty installation or abuse. There is no warranty, expressed or implied, for any parts or work used
for competition, or performance driving events. We reserve the right to withhold refund until defective part has been examined and
tested. Defective merchandise must be returned at customer’s expense for replacement.
DAMAGED ITEMS
When packages appear damaged on arrival, state in writing the condition of the container on the carrier’s bill of lading prior to
signing. If damage is discovered after opening the container, notify the carrier immediately. We provide good merchandise, properly
packaged, to the carrier. Claims for damage must be directed to the carrier, not to Specialty Wheel. (FedEx claims 1-800-463-3339)
PRODUCT USE
Our products are not intended for racing or off-road use. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that items purchased are legal
and safe for their intended use. Motor sports are inherently dangerous. Specialty Wheel is not responsible or liable for any associated
injury or damage.
Wheel Balancing
All of our wheels are designed to be balanced from the lug holes only.
APPLICABLE LAW: JURISDICTION AND VENUE
All purchases are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. The Oregon State Courts of Multnomah County, Oregon will have exclusive jurisdiction and venue
over any dispute arising out of your purchase, and Buyer hereby consents to the jurisdiction of such courts.
PROPRIETARY RIGHTS
The sale of the Products hereunder to Buyer shall in no way be deemed to confer upon Buyer any right, interest or license in any patents or patent applications
or design copyrights the Seller may have covering the Products. Seller retains for itself all proprietary rights in and to all designs, engineering details, and other
data and materials pertaining to any Products supplied by Seller and to all discoveries, inventions, patents and other proprietary rights arising out of the work
