He is responsible for managing and leading the growth strategy of Hong Kong-domiciled clients. He joined UBS in Geneva in 1981, and from 1985-1990 worked in London and New York. He is Head of Asia Institutional Equity Distribution and Chief Executive of Morgan Stanley Asia International Limited, the private banking platform of the firm in the region. He is responsible for developing and delivering Citi’s comprehensive suite of structured credit opportunities, ranging from traditional structured credit products for investment to credit-driven liability management transactions and financing-based solutions. Mr Weiss began his career with HSBC in New York, later moving to London as a member of HSBC’s European flow and structured credit sales force. He then moved to Hong Kong, ultimately taking responsibility for HSBC’s regional credit structuring. He joined Citi in 2012. Mr Weiss is a graduate of Babson College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and holds a Juris Doctor from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2012, he was Global Head of Sales at E Funds International, China’s largest asset management by assets under management. From 20102012, Mr Lee served as the Cohead of Global Markets and the Head of Equities, APAC at BBVA. He also served as an advisor to CITIC Carbon Asset Management, a subsidiary of the CITIC Group. From 2006-2010, Mr Lee was Head of Wealth Management, APAC at HSBC Global Banking and Markets. Garth Bregman Matthew Newick Garth Bregman has been Regional Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management, Asia, since 2012. He was previously Head of Investment Services for BNP Paribas Wealth Management in London. Before this, he was Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management for BNP Paribas Wealth Management in the Netherlands, where he managed a team responsible for high net worth, ultra high net worth and institutional client portfolios, as well as a range of asset management funds for both retail and institutional investors. Mr Bregman has significant asset management and wealth management investment experience across multiple asset classes. Matthew Newick is a Partner and Head of Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. He specialises in banking disputes, and regulatory investigations and enforcement. His practice has spanned the full range of civil, criminal, regulatory, administrative and arbitral tribunals, and involved regulators and courts around the world. Mr Newick’s work has included acting for and against securities and derivatives exchanges (including the prosecution of disciplinary proceedings on behalf of exchanges); insolvency related issues, and complex conflict of law and jurisdiction issues, including anti-suit injunctions. Mr Shipman joined Clifford Chance in 1991 and has been a partner since 2001. He was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1990 and in Hong Kong in 1997. He joined Pictet & Cie (Asia) Ltd in April 2012 as the Regional Head of Portfolio Management. Prior to joining Pictet, Mr Alaoui spent 16 years at BNP Paribas, leading various teams in Europe and Asia. Sean Cochran was appointed Head of Mandate Specialists for UBS Wealth Management Asia Pacific in April 2014. He is based in Hong Kong and leads a team of investment specialists across Asia who advise private clients and family offices on the use of UBS’ Discretionary Mandate portfolios to achieve their investment objectives. Mr Banz rejoined Credit Suisse in 1999 from PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where he worked in the audit and business assurance services, with a focus on the financial Industry. He previously worked at Credit Suisse Switzerland in client- and salesrelated functions across various departments since 1988. Mr Cochran joined UBS Wealth Management in 1997. Belle Liang Jaye Chiu Richard Mak Belle Liang has been the Head of Investment Advisory at Hang Seng Bank since 2011, dedicating her time to servicing the Bank’s relationship managers and high net worth customers. Her primary focus entails delivering comprehensive investment portfolio strategy and product expertise based on clients’ wealth management goals and objectives. Previously Ms Liang worked as a research analyst at an investment bank, and was the Head of Research at a Hong Kong brokerage house, specialising in equities. She has extensive experience in fulfilling her current role as a leader of the Bank’s investment specialists to provide investment strategy and product advisory services. Jaye Chiu has been Head of Investments for EFG Asset Management (Hong Kong) since 2014. Based in Hong Kong, he has executive responsibility for providing portfolio management and advisory services to high net worth, ultra high net worth and institutional clients. Mr Chiu is responsible for managing a team of discretionary portfolio managers, investment advisors and research analysts that covers equities, bonds, funds, alternative investments and foreign exchange. Richard Mak joined Pictet in 2011 to lead the Asia Advisory Team to provide investment advisory services to high net worth investors in Asia. Prior to joining Pictet, he was the head of Advisory-Asia at BNP Paribas Wealth Management. Mr Mak has 17 years of investment experience in Japanese equity investments with various institutions such as Lombard Odier and Skandia Asset Management, and has been advising private clients on global investments since 2003. He was Head of Profiled & Fund Mandates for BNP Paribas Wealth Management, were his team was responsible for the management and marketing of multi-asset class investment portfolios in Hong Kong and Singapore. Head of Advisory Services, Asia Pictet & Cie Mr Mak holds a CFA and has been a member of the CFA Institute since 1993. Rocky Cheung Susan Chua Rocky Cheung joined DBS Private Bank in 2004. He is now leading the Investment Advisory teams for all client segments under Wealth Management at DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited. His teams provide investment counseling services to relationship managers and clients. Mr Cheung has more than 19 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining DBS, he gained exposure in fund houses, securities houses and futures exchange. Susan Chua is responsible for the development and delivery of wealth solutions for BSI clients. She is supported by a team of specialists comprising portfolio managers and advisors, investment and product strategists, as well as wealth planners. Ms Chua has more than 20 years of investment experience. She held various positions at Citigroup Private Bank’s Singapore and New York offices for 13 years. Ms Chua returned to Singapore in 2003 to join Coutts, where she spent eight years, and was instrumental in building and developing the investment team.
