4¾-in. AutoTrak G3 RCLS
Building on the success of the most
technologically advanced Rotary Closed Loop
System (RCLS), the AutoTrak™ G3 RCLS
encompasses the latest levels of MWD / LWD
development in a rugged modular design. This
third generation system opens new
opportunities in all aspects of directional
drilling, including both geosteering and
extended reach applications. The tool can
automatically steer itself during continuous
rotation of the drill string with changes to the
well trajectory communicated to the tool from
surface while drilling ahead.
Truly integrated Drilling and Evaluation BHA
design concept, which enable placement of
LWD and other sensors close to the drill bit,
making the system ideal for geosteering
applications. The advanced inclination HOLD
mode brings extreme precision when drilling
long tangents, even at low inclinations.
Near to Bit Directional, Rotational Azimuthal
Gamma Ray, Multiple Propagation Resistivity,
real time pressure and vibration
measurements are included in the AutoTrak
G3 RCLS System.
The AutoTrak™ G3 RCLS is always engaged,
not on/off duty cycles, but a constant,
continuous and consistent control with more
than 7,000 different steering vectors available.
This advanced drilling system continuously
adjust the force to meet the target with the
smoothest possible wellpath, even under the
most challenging condition, delivering a
superior hole quality.
The AutoTrak™ G3 RCLS system steers with
pressurized pads using hydraulic pumps. No
minimum pressure differential limitations,
optimize bit hydraulics to improve drilling
performance.
