1.0 PROGRAM DETAILS.
1.1 Cunard 2016 launch timelines
The new 2016 Europe Program goes on general sale for all passengers on Wednesday 15 April 2015 (9am AEST / 11am NZST).
2.0 DEPLOYMENT.
2.1 Five maiden calls
Gaspé - Canada
The birthplace of French Quebec, the Gaspé Peninsula has history,
culture and spectacular scenery all in one. It was here that French
navigator Jacques Cartier landed in 1534 and claimed the region
for France; all around them visitors will find rugged coastline, lush
parklands, diverse wildlife habitat and picturesque villages. M621
Genoa - Italy
Once a major city-state like Venice this city, the birthplace of Christopher
Columbus, still boasts some of the most impressive Renaissance
palaces in the largest medieval centre in Europe. V616
Pointe-a-Pitre - Guadeloupe
Guadeloupe is a fascinating archipelago with 2 main islands, combining
beach resorts and rolling hills with a contrasting mountainous volcanic
national park in a country that retains its rich Franco-Caribbean
culture. Its largest city, Pointe-a-Pitre, is the gateway to popular island
attractions such as La Soufriere, the region’s highest peak which is also
a volcano. V619
Saguenay - Canada
Situated on the banks of the dramatic Saguenay river fjord, the
Saguenay fjord national park offers spectacular scenery with plenty of
varied wildlife on display. The waters of the fjord provide the opportunity
to spot whales, while inland visitors to the forest can see bears and
beavers in their natural habitats. M621
Stornoway - United Kingdom
The major population centre of the Outer Hebrides, Stornoway has a
rich history dating back to the town’s foundation by the Vikings in the 9th
century. From here you can visit the major historic settlements across
the Isle of Lewis and view the diverse local wildlife including golden
eagles, seals, otter and deer. Q609

with the cobalt blue Aegean waters that wash around its border
onto gold sand beaches. Inland, white sugar-cube houses and

4.0 TRANSATLANTIC CROSSINGS.
4.1 Queen Mary 2 & Queen Victoria
Once the only way from Europe to the New World, transatlantic ships
were famed for their extravagance and speed. Today, of course, there
are many quicker ways to travel. But none finer. Cunard ships have
been crossing the Atlantic to and from New York since 1840, when
we established the first ever regular service. Today, a Transatlantic
Crossing remains as glamorous and exciting as ever, but it also
remains one of travel’s most iconic experiences. This is a voyage truly
anchored in history.
A Transatlantic Crossing offers so much possibility. It’s a welcome
chance to leave the everyday world behind, to escape into a new
world of pleasure and excitement and yet feel utterly relaxed. Most
of all it’s an invitation to make a unique and dramatic arrival into – or
departure from – the world’s most exciting city.

QM2 TRANSATLANTIC CROSSINGS
A Transatlantic Crossing on Queen Mary 2 is the ultimate Cunard experience, the most luxurious way to travel between the Old and New
Worlds. Cunard’s Transatlantic Crossings are unique in being the only regular Transatlantic service and the world’s only remaining true
ocean liner experience. Queen Mary 2 will make 19 Atlantic crossings from May to December 2016, split into 3 main voyage types:
• Standard crossings in 7 nights
• Crossings in 8 nights
• Crossings in 8 nights stopping in Halifax
Halifax has historical significance for the Cunard Line as a stopping point during the crossings, as it is the birthplace of the company
founder Sir Samuel Cunard and was one of the main way ports on the historic early Transatlantic Crossings.
The table below lists the dates of the new Transatlantic Crossings in 2016.

NORWAY FJORDS & ARCTIC CIRCLE
BRITISH ISLES
The breathtaking scenery offered by the Norwegian Fjords make
these cruises among our most popular. Enjoy the sensation of
cruising along a winding valley surrounded by steep cliffs, waterfalls
and snowy peaks to discover hidden ports nestling at their end.
Take a cruise around the British Isles and see some of the lesserknown sights. This unique cruise mixes together popular cities,
quaint fishing ports and some remote locations in one neat package.
New in 2016: a 9 night Fjord cruise that features one more port of
call than our standard 7 night itinerary, plus a day of scenic cruising
to relax and soak up the scenery in the majestic Geirangerfjord.
We have reintroduced our longer duration Arctic Circle cruise,
which provides additional Norwegian port content and variety
compared to a standard Fjord cruise. Not only does it call at the
popular fjord ports of Flaam, Andalsnes and Olden but also the
larger metropolitan destinations of Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger.
Scenic cruising opportunities:
• Sail past Seven Sisters and the Suitor waterfalls, Geirangerfjord
