The MYS staff has put together a week-long program of work, fun,
and learning to challenge our young musicians.
The MYS Summer Music Camp will be held June 22nd through the 26th, 8:00am to 3:30pm on the grounds
of Trinity Church located at 2130 E. University Dr, in Mesa (just east of Gilbert Rd).
There will be a final concert on Friday, June 26th at 7:00pm.
Enrollment is open to all string & band students through the 9th grade
(students completing the 9th grade this year are eligible).
String students who are not presently members of MYS will audition prior to enrollment (band students and
mini-camp participants need not audition). The auditions will be held starting at 5:30pm on June 18th at the
MYS office at 223 N. Morris in Mesa, and will consist of a short solo of the student’s choice (no accompaniment
needed), scales appropriate for the musician’s level, and sight reading (provided by adjudicator). Your specific
audition time will be emailed to you by June 12th.
