The time has come to plan for the 2015 3 Star International Event at
Chattahoochee Hills. This Event will allow you to over indulge in graceful
Dressage, Cross Country and the exciting Show Jumping finale that
promises to take your breath away!
We have raised the bar for 2015, with extra fun events, including the Pony
Grand National, the Bareback Puissance, and Team Mechanical Bull Riding.
Our Vendor Village will be larger with a more diverse selection of vendors,
which means excellent shopping opportunities! The food will be as delectable
as ever with even more choices.
Chattahoochee Hills Eventing will also be teaming up with Atlanta Horse
Connections, once again, giving all Sponsors and Vendors an opportunity to
advertise at a discounted rate.

WELCOME TO
Chattahoochee Hills Country International Horse Trials.
CHC International’s goal is to showcase the historic
equestrian Olympic sport of eventing as a true festival
in the country, while introducing it to new fans and
emphasizing its uniqueness with new added
entertainment and amenities.
Chattahoochee Hills Eventing is located on Olympic
Three Day Event rider Carl Bouckaert’s farm in
Chattahoochee Hill country. This 8,000-acre
equestrian paradise is filled with well-established
rolling pastures, lakes, and woodlands that run 12
miles along the Chattahoochee River. The facility
hosted the U.S. Eventing Association’s (USEA)
American Eventing Champions (AECs) for three years.
What is a Horse Trials or Eventing?
3 day eventing is also referred to as a Horse Triathlon.
A 3 phase equestrian sport, designed to test the
training, ability and strength of both horse and rider.
Originally a race between Berlin and Vienna,
subsequently developed by the French to become the
‘Raid Militaire’ as an extended training event for the
cavalry in the 1800’s. This went on to become part of
the Olympics in 1912, but only male military officers
were allowed to compete until 1952 when it was
opened to civilian men. Finally in 1964 women entered
the competition. Only in Equestrian sports do men
compete against women equally.
The competition is made up of the Dressage Phase,
the Cross Country Phase and the Show Jumping
Phase. The event is modeled on the ability of cavalry
officers to fight in battle as well as endure covering
long distances encountering major obstacles. Today
there are no battles fought, but the event asks a lot of
both horse and rider.

The Pony Grand National is a new fun addition to the International Three Star Event
here at Chattahoochee Hills. Not only is this event highly entertaining, it gives the
youngsters in our area to compete at an International Event and show everyone their
skills in jumping hurdles and speed! There will be two Divisions, 12.2hh and under
and 12.3hh to 14.2hh. The Sponsor will be invited to present the Awards on the

What a great way to start off the weekend by hosting the Thursday Evening

Friday evening, Team Mechanical Bull Riding! After dressage everyone is ready to let
their hair down and have some fun before Cross Country the following day. With the
incentive of a monetary prize, there will be Teams of riders, grooms, spectators,
ground staff, vendors and sponsors all ready to show off their skills, or lack of, at
staying on the mechanical Bull. Winners will also be presented with a Belt Buckle to
remind them of the occasion. Teams will be made up of three. There will be a
Sponsor banner in the Main Arena for the whole weekend; a Full Page color Ad in the
Program and 4 VIP passes to enjoy all the activities throughout the weekend.
BAREBACK PUISSANCE - $1,000.00

It is Saturday night, before the party, and it is time to watch riders, test their skills at
the Bareback Puissance. The vertical jump starts at 3’3”, and goes up three inches
per round, quickly increasing to over Advanced height. If you have a rail or a refusal,
you have the option to take your shirt off for a second chance, otherwise you are
eliminated! Most riders will happily strip, to the great cheers of the crowd! Being a
family event they will be suitably dressed at all times! The competition involves a
maximum of five rounds - opening round followed by four jump-offs, not against the
clock.
The monetary prize will also be a great incentive! There will be a Sponsor banner in
the Main Arena for the whole weekend; a Full Page color Ad in the Program and 4
VIP passes to enjoy all the activities throughout the weekend.

We cannot hold these events without our wonderful volunteers. These people are always
there, come rain or shine, either keeping the Dressage arenas moving, reporting the result
on the cross country fences, keeping the warm up arenas going or picking up poles. With
the number of people needed, we are lucky to have a village of loyal and devoted friends.
Sponsoring the T-shirts is just a small way of saying ‘Thank you’ for your time and effort,
but an appreciated souvenir of the weekend and the easiest way to recognize our
helpers, so we can go up to them and say, ‘Thank you’! There will be a banner in the Main

This year City Horse Connections (Atlanta area - AHC)
has teamed up with Chattahoochee Hills Eventing. AHC
is an online magazine, launched 3 years ago by Katya
Manjossova. Over this period the magazine has
expanded to over 100 pages and has a readership of
approximately 20,000.
Atlanta Horse Connections' goal is to share the inside
stories of Georgia based equestrians. You will see
narratives from various disciplines, breeds, equine based
businesses, human and horse fashions and all things
equestrian!
Sponsorships will include advertising in Atlanta Horse
