county, at 330 km far away from Bucharest. It has about
42,700 inhabitants and it is placed at altitude of 620 m, in the
most important hardcoal basin from Romania, where the
mining activity began in 1840.

Committee of the 6th BALKAN MINING CONGRESS, are very

the 6th BALKAN MINING CONGRESS which will be held
during 20th-23th of September 2015 in Petroşani,
