Participants:
•
The programme has been created for secondary school teachers with the
capacity to achieve outstanding learning and progress from students. These
teachers will be able to drive forward improvements in Teaching & Learning
with colleagues back in their schools.
Approaches:
•
Teachers are invited in pairs or trios from their school; they will have support
from a home school mentor to facilitate opportunities for the development and
sharing of best practice in their school.
•
The programme encompasses six half day events hosted on a range of
morning, afternoon and twilight times to minimise impact on class teaching
commitments.
•
Each half day event leads directly into the development of practice in the
participating teacher’s classrooms and a wider school action to further
develop outstanding practice in their school.
•
The programme will draw on a range of learning experiences including:
focussed lesson observations in a range of schools in contrasting contexts;
demonstration of best practice by the programme leaders and fellow
participants; discussion panels with students and staff; collaborative learning
opportunities with colleagues from the same school and in other schools and
engagement in our online learning community for outstanding teachers to
share practice.
•
The programme will be personalised to each school’s and teacher’s
development goals based on needs analysis gathered from each participant
on the programme.
