Evergreen Seedlings
Blue Spruce:
Grows well in heavier
soils, conical shaped
White Spruce: Similar to Blue Spruce,
usually greener in color
Norway Spruce: Sweeping branches,
fastest growing spruce
White Pine: State tree, long needles,
grows most anywhere
Red Pine: Fast growing, tolerates dry
soils, self pruning lower branches
Austrain Pine: Tolerates salt, good for
privacy along roads
Douglas Fir: Shorter softer needles
than pine, medium growth rate
