interesting and meaningful, along with doing all these fun and frolics. Here is

“ Knowledge is Power”. Therefore, encourage your child to cultivate
reading habit because it enhances the knowledge acquired as well as
develops the vocabulary, language skills and improves spellings.
“ A healthy mind lives in a healthy body”. So, encourage your child to
play outdoor games because sports instill discipline, generate sporting
spirits and channelize energy constructively. Also encourage him/her to
play board games as chess, Ludo, Carrom, etc.
“ Communication- the human connection – is the key to personal and
career success”. Therefore, converse with your child preferably in English
to help him/ her get comfortable with the language. Also encourage your
child to read children‟s magazines and story books.
Spend quality time with your child engaging him/ her in activities based
on enhancing his/her powers of observation and imagination.
Sensitize your child about the rich culture and heritage by watching
different informative channels like „ The National Geographic‟, „Animal
Planet‟, etc.
Encourage your child to do the activities himself /herself and fix a specific
time to do homework everyday.
SCIENCE
1. Look at the physical map of India and list down.

Find out the names of seas and oceans that surround our country.
2. There are many popular dances in India. Most of these dances are
associated with a particular state, prepare a booklet about various
classical and folk dances of India using lots of pictures and information
related to those dance forms.

2. Paste the pictures of your Principal and Director and information as such the
name of the state she/he belongs to, dress, famous food, hobbies / favourite
pastime message for children, etc.
3. Many of you go out in summer break. It may be to a hill station or to any
other relative‟s place. Click photos of different types of items and make a
collage.
4. Write one page cursive handwriting in cursive book everyday.
5. Describe the experience of your summer vacation in a diary entry format.
