Vision: Fighting hunger and poverty while taking care of the environment
Success indicators: increased productivity (agriculture by 20 - 25%), reduced soil erosion,
encourage, promote agriculture technologies, all year food security, increased economic
production (Gross Domestic Product), encouraging and promoting irrigation, all year round
availability for multiple use, Re-greening, intensifying Afro-based technology, increase youth
involvement in agriculture development, gender responsive policies, encouraging use of
biomass energy, Agro bases exports, promoting afforestation and reforestation.
Current technologies: conservation agriculture, CSA, Chitetezo mbaula, solar energy,
liquidfied petroleum gas (LPG).
New technologies: FMNR, climate resilient sustainable agriculture (CRSA). CA and fertilizer
trees (tephorosia), evergreen technology.
Current Scaling strategies: Media, workshops and training, exchange visits, field days, demo
plots
New Scaling strategies: documentaries, conferences, policy, exhibition, mainstreaming
curriculum.
Implementation strategies: Advocacy, sensitization and awareness, capacity building,
extension, collaboration and partnerships, coordination.
