Your week-long adventure includes
gallery visits, lunch time outings to
see the Calithumpians, and games
on the Green. Some camps also
include outings to Science East!

Camps run 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Late pick-ups: Until 5:30, by
arrangement. There is a daily $5
charge.


Dress for mess and fun! Nonmarking indoor shoes
recommended.
Campers need a lunch and two
snacks, drinks, sunscreen and
sunhat.
Wild Puppets
Painting A to Z
Drawing (pencil, pastel) and
painting (watercolour, acrylic)
inspired by works of art inside the
gallery and outdoors also!
Discover the many animals
hidden in the artwork and create
puppets and a large group
sculpture for the birds in our
garden!
Learn how to create a gallery
ready painting by sketching the
Masterworks, and painting en
plein-air too!

Stories by the sea
Inspired by the Masterworks,
participants will work with various
materials to create 3D works of art
incorporating drawing, painting, and
collage.
Construct your own world! Learn
perspective drawing and create a
3D maquette of your own design.
Imagine the tales the paintings
could tell! Dive in with painting,
collage and clay.

Masterworks
Rock!
Seeking inspiration from nature,
like the artists in our collection,
create kinetic art influenced by
the wind, river, and land here.
Lights, Camera, Action!
Experiment with pinhole and
digital photography and other
printmaking. Create layered
images and 3D pop-ups!
Masterworks Universe
Take photos and manipulate
them to create a stop motion
animation and sculptural pieces
based on the Masterworks.

All our art instructors and camp
supervisors are experienced educators
who encourage creativity, selfexpression and development in the
arts.
Your children will have the opportunity
to create original art in a friendly,
respectful environment where they are
at the centre of the learning process.
Our staff are certified to provide first
aid and CPR and to adapt to your
children’s learning style and needs.

Payment can be made by cash, cheque,

Gallery’s Front Desk.
Please note that refunds are possible
only with a 5 day notice of cancellation.
Refunds or camp changes MUST be
accompanied by your original receipt.
Your cash register receipt is your
official receipt. Please ensure that you
pick up your receipt before or during
the camp week and retain it for any
applicable purposes.

TEACHER BIOS
Roberte Melanson is a retired art
teacher who loves to sculpt, draw and
paint. She has a family of racoons living
under her back shed. That whole family
loves to go for picnics around the
neighbourhood. She is teaching the
first two weeks of camp (June 22-July
3). The first week will be French and
the second in English.
Christina Thomson is a photographer
and teacher recently returned home
from a life in Montreal. She loves yoga,
campfires, and stargazing along the
Saint John River. She is teaching the
following 7 weeks of camp (July 6- Aug
21). These weeks will be taught in both
French and English.
