The Prime Minister has specifically underlined that the Government will ensure that all external obligations of Belarus in 2015 (at around US$ 4 billion) are timely met. "The violation of the debt obligations is unacceptable," said Andrei Kobyakov. In 2015 the key goal for the Government of Belarus will be to ensure macroeconomic and social stability in the environment of growing external challenges and threats, and to ensure conditions for dynamic economic development of Belarus in 2016-2020 and later on. LIFT SANCTIONS AGAINST The U.S. State Department has removed sanctions against Belorusneft, a stateowned Belarusian oil company, imposed in March 2011 for its involvement in the Iranian petroleum sector.
