Correspondence Daryl • My Netball Daryl Issues seem to be experienced when registering for VNA. Committee members expressed grief with the registration process finding it unfriendly eg. new players do not process properly. T. Rigney advised J. Mannes had already contacted Vic Netball. T. Rigney will make some enquiries with Pam Ferreire and Anne Bimson and will also find out from Vic Netball what their plan is to resolve system issues. 4. Financial Summary Daryl Daryl provided an overview of finances as most of this was covered in the AGM immediately prior to this meeting. 5. 2015 Season Daryl Daryl advised of the current layout of teams based on current registrations: a) Current registered number of teams: 130 b) Team breakout: Netta -‐ 16, Gr 4 – 16, Gr 5 – 14, Gr 6 – 16, U13 – 15, S4 – 7, S3C – 9, S3B – 11, S3A – 10, S2 – 10, S1 – 6. c) Rosters and draws: drafts will be made to work out best scheduling. d) NETTA: will be renamed to Grade 3 e) NETTA update: V Brook explained age bracket for NETTA and has advised all enquiries to check website. Assistance will be required to run NETTA program, which runs for 4 weeks. f) Office Roster: Daryl highlighted the benefits of new clubs coming to our league – less office duty per team. Volunteers are requested for first two rounds: Eaglehawk have offered to do first week, Strathfieldsaye Jnrs have offered to do second week. Daryl will issue a timetable. 6. Tournament • BSNA is running a tournament of which the dates have been advertised on the website. Entry forms are available. • The canteen will not operate on this day, instead clubs are welcome to run food vans to raise money for their clubs (profits are not shared amongst clubs). • In order to avoid clashes in food vans T Rigney advised what is available for clubs to run. (Girton – 2 x coffee vans: Rachel, SJNC – Coke van: Cath M., Zodiacs – BBQ: Vicki) • Suggested FOOD COURT is the small carpark area near the outside courts. T Rigney will see what power access there is and will provide a generator if need be. 7. Squad V. Brook a) Selection process is complete b) Training (outside): U15 Mondays, U13 Thursdays. c) Query from Debbie about who trains on courts through the week. VBrook advised Mon,Tues, Wed Zodiacs x 2 courts and falcons d) Uniforms: dresses and jacket order has been placed. Jock queried order, VBrook advised there needs to be enough uniforms to fit three teams in total. e) Tournament: entries to be submitted and buses organized. 8. Umpire report Mikaela presented report in Heather’s absence. • Three badged umpires have been achieved. • Umpire program sessions was queried by D Browning. It was advised there are beginners and junior umpiring sessions run on Friday nights. It is suggested to contact Heather Abdy by email for further information. • Jock queried supply of own umpire for tournaments. It was advised we are to supply own umpire who is at least level 1 or badged. 9. Other Business I. No matters raised 10.
