and well-baby care at little to no cost to you, as well as coverage for doctor
visits, prescription drugs, surgery and hospital care, mental health and
substance abuse services and more.

Health Care Is Complex
Working with You to Manage Health Care Costs
In the United States, the health care system is very fragmented, and individuals often find themselves trying to figure
out where to go to get the right care. In addition, understanding all of the different insurance terms, such as “deductible,”
“copayment” and “coinsurance,” can be confusing, and there are so many insurance providers and plans that it is difficult for
health care providers to offer guidance to their patients. Health care legislation has added new requirements for employers
and individuals, and, in the future, new taxes will be levied on employer plans that offer benefits that are more costly than the
limits established by the government. It is in this environment that we strive to make our benefit plan design understandable,
valuable and affordable for our employees.
Access to affordable health care is crucial, but each year, we have seen the costs of health care rise. As an employee, you
play a significant role in managing your health care expenditures when you become an “informed buyer” of health care
services and when you use in-network health care providers. Our health care partners negotiate competitive pricing with
doctors, hospitals and other service providers to ensure that you are able to get better outcomes at affordable prices.
Our new health services cost comparison tool allows you to compare costs and user reviews for local doctors, hospitals,
prescriptions and services — which can vary as much as 50% in the same hospital, depending on the insurer and insurance
plan. When you compare prices for medical tests like x-rays or MRIs, you can reduce your out-of-pocket costs and use less
of your Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) if you are enrolled in the Anthem Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP) or
Health Savings Account (HSA) dollars if you are enrolled in the Value Plan — saving more for your future needs.
As a company, we negotiate with our health care partners and administrators to deliver affordable services that
achieve the outcomes that our employees need. We offer wellness programs and incentives to encourage healthy
lifestyle changes. In 2015, we will launch telemedicine — access to doctors online 24/7 when your family physician is not available, which is more cost effective than most urgent care facilities.

How to Enroll and Make Changes: May 4–22
Who Needs to Enroll?
Review all of the changes and new premium rates that will be effective July 1, 2015. If you do not want to make any changes, there is no need for you to make
new elections. If you do not enroll, all 2014 elections will carry forward, including your spending and savings accounts. To maximize tax savings, consider the
new 2015 IRS limits when making FSA and HSA elections.
When You Are Ready to Enroll
After You Enroll
When you are ready to enroll, log in to My Benefits Access from
Benefits & You OnLine (http://benefits.northropgrumman.com).
After you enroll, you will receive an email confirmation at your preferred email
address. Be sure to review the confirmation to ensure that your elections
were saved.
• Most benefits do not require re-enrollment but this is a good opportunity
to review your current elections.
• Confirm that your and your dependents’ personal information is up to date.
• Use the Medical Expense Estimator Tool to project and compare your
potential future health care expenses.
• To enroll, click “Make Your Annual Enrollment and Tobacco Usage Choices”
and then “Enroll in Your Benefits.”
• To receive the non-tobacco user credit, ensure your tobacco-free
attestation is complete.
• Review your FSA and/or HSA elections and make any necessary changes.
• Review your dependent coverage. If you newly add a dependent to
coverage, you will be asked to submit documentation shortly after your
enrollment is complete.
• Save your elections by clicking “Complete Enrollment” at the bottom of
the page. You should see a “Completed Successfully” screen, which you
should print for your records. If you don’t see this screen, your enrollment
elections were not completed successfully.
If you newly elected to make contributions to an HSA through payroll
deductions, go to the CONEXIS website (https://mybenefits.conexis.com)
to set up your HSA.
If You Need Help Enrolling
If you have questions about enrolling or would like to enroll over the phone,
call the Northrop Grumman Benefits Center (NGBC) at 1-800-894-4194
(overseas at 1-718-354-1338). You’ll need your My Benefits Access
password to secure your call.
If You Do Not Know Your My Benefits Access Password
Go to Benefits & You OnLine (http://benefits.northropgrumman.com)
and select “My Benefits Access login.” Select “Forgot User ID or Password”
from the login screen and follow the steps. You can also call the
Northrop Grumman Benefits Center (NGBC) at 1-800-894-4194, and
a benefits service representative will help you reset your password.
To comply with Federal health care regulations, employers must
collect Social Security numbers for covered dependents. To review
the information you have on file, go to Benefits & You OnLine
(http://benefits.northropgrumman.com) and select “My Benefits
Access login.” Under the “Your Profile” tab, select “Dependent
Summary,” then “Edit” to update dependent information.

What’s New This Year
Below is a summary of the changes to the plan options for Electronic Systems represented employees in Sunnyvale for the 2015–2016 benefit plan year.
Medical
Changes to the
EPO and PPO Plans
The current out-of-pocket
maximum for medical will be
split between medical and
prescription drug expenses.
• The out-of-pocket
maximum for medical will
be $2,250 per individual
and $5,000 per family.
• The out-of-pocket
maximum for prescription
drug expenses will be
$750 per individual and
$1,000 per family.
Changes to the Value Plan
• NEW! Northrop Grumman will now make a $200 contribution to your Health Savings Account (HSA) when you establish
your account with our HSA partner, CONEXIS. The first $100 will be deposited to your account as soon as administratively
possible. The remaining funds are deposited after you complete a health risk questionnaire and an annual physical.
Complete your health risk questionnaire online and your annual physical exam between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016 to
receive the second half of your Company contribution to your HSA.
• The 2015 IRS HSA contribution limit has increased by $50 for individual coverage and $100 for family coverage. When
you or Northrop Grumman contribute to your HSA, you can pay for qualified medical expenses on a pre-tax basis,
reducing your total actual out-of-pocket expenditures. Remember, if you have money left over in your HSA at the end of
the plan year, it rolls over into the next year for future expenses or goes with you when you retire!
• Deductibles have increased. Remember, deductibles can be paid with your pre-tax savings in your HSA account, and this
increase will only affect you if your medical expenses exceed the plan deductible.
• You no longer need to satisfy your deductible in order to be reimbursed for preventive prescription drugs in the Value
Plan. You will only be responsible for the coinsurance portion of the drug expense. The plan will pay 100% for certain
preventive drugs through in-network pharmacies or mail order. A comprehensive list of preventive drugs can be found on
the CVS/Caremark website (www.caremark.com/ngc).
Important HSA Rules to Remember for Value Plan Participants
To be eligible for the HSA, you must be enrolled in an IRS-qualified “high deductible health plan” (e.g., the Value Plan). You cannot be enrolled in coverage
under another non-qualified plan (although eligibility for other coverage is permitted). For example, employees enrolled in their spouse’s HMO or who are covered under
a General Purpose Health Care FSA (e.g., through a spouse or by a rollover from the prior plan year) would not be eligible for an HSA. Employees enrolled in Medicare are
not eligible to contribute to an HSA. (See IRS Publication 969 for further details.) Northrop Grumman HSA contributions count toward the calendar-year maximum.
If you are currently enrolled in a General Purpose FSA administered by CONEXIS, and you enroll in the Value Plan and establish an HSA through CONEXIS during Annual
Enrollment for the 2015–2016 plan year, your FSA or HRA will be converted to a limited purpose FSA. Any new FSA election will also be limited purpose in this situation.
If you enroll in the Value Plan and do not elect to establish an HSA through CONEXIS during Annual Enrollment, but you intend to establish an HSA either later in the plan
year through CONEXIS or through another HSA vendor, you must call CONEXIS at 1-888-347-5193 to notify them that you would like your FSA rollover amounts or your
2015–2016 FSA election to be limited purpose. You will have to submit the paperwork required by CONEXIS. You must complete this process before July 1, 2015. If you do
not, any FSA rollover, and any 2015–2016 plan year FSA election, will be general purpose, and under IRS rules you will not be eligible to open or establish an HSA during
the 2015–2016 plan year.

NEW! The annual IRS contribution limit for pre-tax
savings in a General Purpose Health Care Flexible
Spending Account (FSA) or Limited Purpose Health Care
FSA is increasing to $2,550. Although there is no longer
a grace period, don’t forget, you may carry over up to
$500 in unused Health Care FSA funds to be used in
future years. You have until October 31 to submit claims
and debit card verifications incurred during the benefit
plan year. Any amounts in excess of $500 left credited to
your FSA as of October 31 will be forfeited per IRS rules.

What’s Not Changing
• In-network preventive care, for you and your enrolled family members is covered — including annual physicals,
immunizations and routine screenings — if you’re enrolled in a Northrop Grumman medical plan option.
• All participants in the PPO, EPO, CDHP or Value plans have access to an extensive network of doctors and other health
care providers, and are eligible to take advantage of network discounts, services, tools and numerous other programs
to help them manage their health.
• Your disability, life and accident insurance options, dependent day care FSA, and group legal coverage continue to provide
the same great benefits. • Kaiser Permanente HMO and TRICARE Supplement plans will continue to be offered where they are currently offered.
Non-tobacco Use Premium Credit
If neither you nor your covered family members use tobacco, you can attest that you are a non-tobacco user by logging in
to My Benefits Access (available through Benefits & You OnLine) and receive a credit toward your medical plan premium.
If you or a covered dependent uses tobacco products, you can receive the premium credit if the tobacco user(s) enrolls
in any tobacco cessation program, including Quit For Life or any program recommended by your doctor. If the tobacco
user(s) enrolls in a tobacco cessation program by July 1, 2015, the credit will be available beginning July 1, 2015 and
will continue as long as the tobacco user completes the tobacco cessation program (whether or not he or she
succeeds in ceasing tobacco use). The credit will cease to be available if the tobacco user does not complete
the program. More information regarding the Quit For Life program may be obtained by calling 1-800-894-4194.
Certain restrictions apply. Please note: The non-tobacco use credit is not available to participants enrolled in Aetna
International, TRICARE Supplement, Kaiser Permanente Hawaii, and state of Hawaii plans with mandated coverage
levels (HMSA HMO and HMSA PPO).
