CONQUERING THE NEW WORLD OF DISTRIBUTION Berkeley

CONQUERING THE NEW WORLD OF DISTRIBUTION
Berkeley FILM Foundation presents a FREE seminar with Peter Broderick
Monday, April 27th from 2:00-5:00pm
The David Brower Center
2150 Allston Way, Berkeley 94704
How can you increase your independence and build a sustainable career that goes far beyond one film?
Distribution guru Peter Broderick will begin with a presentation showing how to develop and maximize your own
audience and establish a strong foundation from which you can build a long-lasting filmmaking career. Using
examples from across the US and around the world, he will demonstrate how filmmakers are aggregating their
audiences film by film and becoming empowered by followers who champion their work.
Following the presentation, Peter will lead an interactive workshop during which he will improvise marketing and
distribution strategies for a few filmmakers in the audience. Come prepared to pitch your project, describe your
core audiences and leave conventional wisdom at the door.
