Stalls/Shavings/Reservations:
Please make stalls reservations on-line through the Ford Idaho Horse Park at: www.fordidahohorsepark.com/Reservations.aspx Stalls are $150/ea (Wednesday through Sunday) - collected
by FIHP. Exhibitors may arrive anytime after 8:00AM Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Stall fee $15/ea
for early arrivals (Tuesday) and/or for late checkouts (on Monday AM). Single day stall rentals
are available for $50 through FIHP. Shavings are available from FIHP for $10 per bag, pellets
available for $8 per bag, hay is $13.25/bale. FIHP does not permit the use of outside shavings
or pellets.The show secretary will charge an event haul-in fee of $30 per horse for horses not
stalled at FIHP. Full RV hookups are available on-site through the FIHP for $30/night.Additional
overnight camper/trailer parking is available on-site through the FIHP at no charge.

NRHA Approved Classes:
GWRHA Classes:
Membership in the GWRHA is not required to enter GWRHA classes.Two GWRHA “schooling”
classes will be held on Thursday (Ladies & Gents, Slate #1), three schooling classes on Friday
(Stallions, Mares and Geldings) and two schooling classes on Saturday (Ladies & Gents, Slate
#2). These GWRHA schooling classes can be shown in any legal bridle using either one or
two hands (classes started one-handed must be shown onehanded throughout and classes
started two-handed must be shown two-handed throughout).These classes will have “Jackpot”
payouts and will have circuit prizes awarded for 1st through 5th places. The combined high
point (Slate #1 plus Slate #2 scores) Ladies class winner and the combined high point Gents
class winner will each be awarded a special “Shootout” prize. These GWRHA “schooling”
classes will be run in the outdoor arena. The $6 per run video fee charge does not apply to
classes run in the outdoor arena.
“Schooling’’:
Contestants are expected to run the designated NRHA pattern number assigned to each class
however deviations from the designated pattern are allowed in the above mentioned GWRHA
“schooling” classes. As a courtesy to the judges, contestants intending to school their horses
in the GWRHA “schooling” classes should make their intention to school obvious to the
judge at the beginning of their run. Schooling runs shall not exceed four minutes of arena time.
Derby/Maturity Entries & Draws:
Derby horses may be shown either one handed in a bridle or shown two handed in a snaffle bit
or a hackamore (and riders may not change hands or switch from one to two hands). Maturity
horses are to be shown one handed. All Derby/Maturity entries must enter up one level (e.g.
Level 1 entries must also enter the Level 2 class, Level 2 entries must also enter the Level
4 class). The “Red Shirt” Futurity classes are run concurrently with the Open and Non Pro
Derby classes and entries in this class are restricted to four year old horses who were never
shown in a futurity as of January 1, 2015 (for additional information regarding the “Red Shirt”
Futurity click here). A Draw Party will be held at 10:00AM on the day of the classes (Friday
and Saturday) for the Derby classes. Additional entries will continue to be accepted until the
start of the classes however, once drawn, late additions will be the first to show.
Additional Class Information:
We anticipate that classes will be drawn at approximately 6:00PM on the evening before each
show day (except for the Derby classes). Class entries will continue to be accepted until the
start of the classes however, once drawn, late additions will be the first to show. Note that
NRHA regulations prohibit refunding of entry fees once drawn. The draw schedule for the
main arena will take precedence over the draw schedule in the outdoor arena. Management,
in its sole discretion, may alter the draw order in the outdoor arena to accommodate timing
conflicts arising where a horse and/or rider is scheduled to show in both arenas.“Drag” periods
are tentatively scheduled and may be altered from time-to-time after posting as deemed
appropriate. Management reserves the right to alter the show, the arena and schedules at any
time as circumstances may dictate or as may be deemed appropriate.
Leadline Class:
A special GWRHA “Pee Wee Reiner”/Leadline class for children aged 7 and under will be
held on Sunday at 7:30 AM. Contestants will be required to enter by 6:00 PM on Saturday
and to submit a short story line in writing (click here for form). Riders must be accompanied
in the class by an adult who will lead the horse and rider at a walk. No “reining” maneuvers
will be performed.
“Outlaw” Rookie Class:
A special GWRHA “Outlaw” Rookie class will be run concurrently with the Rookie classes
on Sunday. This class will have a special jackpot payout consisting of funds we expect will be
voluntarily contributed to a special jackpot for this class. The payout will be 100% of funds
contributed and will be paid 50% to the Champion, 30% to the Reserve Champion and 20%
to 3rd place. Contestants must me eligible to show in and must also be entered in the NRHA
Rookie Level 1 and/or NRHA Rookie Level 2 and must show one handed. This class paid
$1,000 at the October show!
Trophies & Prizes:
In addition to NRHA classes being awarded trophies based on NRHA guidelines, there will be
“Slate/Circuit Prizes” awarded for 1st through 5th places in all NRHA and GWRHA double-slated
classes and prizes for 1st through 5th places in all single-slated classes (see the Class Schedule).
There will also be many significant special show and class sponsor prizes awarded including trophy
saddles to both the Level 4 Non Pro & Open Derby Champions (sponsored by Equine Oasis), a
trophy saddle to the Limited Non Pro Circuit Champion, Champion buckles will be awarded in
all of the aged event classes and Champion buckles will be awarded to the circuit winner of the
Rookie II, Short Stirrups,Youth 13 & Under and the Youth 14-18 classes. In addition there will be
Special “Shootout” prizes that will be awarded to the combined high point Ladies and Gentlemen’s
class (Slate #1 plus Slate #2 scores) winners. Both the overall event High Point Open and Non Pro
riders will be awarded special prizes and the owner of the overall High Point Horse will receive a
pair of custom hand-made spurs by Mark Nicholson of Gillette,WY.

aFFILIATE cIRCIUT qUALIFIER
Both slates of NRHA ancillary classes at this show have been designated as NRHA Affiliate
Circuit Qualifier shows/classes by the Great Western Reining Horse Association (GWRHA),
the Snake River Reining Alliance (SRRA) and the Northern Rockies Reining Horse Association
(NRRHA). Please note that in order for your class entry/run to qualify as a valid score in these
affiliate’s standings (for purposes of qualifying to advance to the Northwest Affiliate Regional
Championships) you must be a current member in the affiliate(s) you are qualifying through prior
to showing. NRHA members can accumulate qualifying runs in multiple affiliates however they
must designate a single chosen affiliate by August 1st (click for NRHA Affiliate Designation Form).
Slide for the Cure:
Slide for the Cure is a program that helps support the fight against cancer by running certain
concurrent classes during the show.When riders elect to enter their competition categories,
they also have the opportunity to enter a Slide for the Cure class by paying an additional $30.
Each time a rider enters a Cure class, their name is entered into a drawing for a Jim Taylor saddle
donated by Equine Oasis and Hope Miller and a pair of Smokey’s Custom Chaps.The drawing
will take place at the Low Roller Reining Classic/Northwest Affiliate Regional Championship
show in Nampa, Idaho in October.The more times a person enters a Cure class, the greater
chance they have to win the saddle or chaps and more funds are raised for the fight against
cancer. In addition to the drawing,“year end” prizes are awarded (typically to 5th place) to the
overall highest placing horse/rider combinations in each class.The GWRHA is pleased to join
with the WCRHA in supporting this program to raise money to help find a cure for cancer.
Ford Idaho Horse Park Rules:
Dogs are to remain on a leash and under control at all times. No dogs are allowed in the Ford
Idaho Center Arena or the Sport Center Concession and Office area at any time. Please clean
up after your animals. All horses to be washed in designated wash areas only (no washing in
the stalls or alleyways). No horses allowed in the RV grounds. No outside food, beverages or
alcohol may be brought into any building without the consent of the FIHP. Speed limit 10 mph.
Exhibitors and invitees must comply with all FIHP rules and management directives.

RainDancer Video will provide video recording services and live web casting of the show over

to purchase videos of your runs. A delay video feed station will also be provided near the
warmup area.A $6 video fee will be added by the show secretary for each run in the main arena.
