proud of what we’ve accomplished
and the Mayan families we continue
to impact every day.
We are excited that the fourth quarter
saw the initial launch of the LunaDisc, the LED light-up version of our
Sports Edition Pocket Disc. The response has ranged somewhere
from “Wow!” to “That’s awesome!” If you haven’t experienced the
Luna yet, we hope you’ll get one in your hands – and in your stores
– soon. Joining the Luna on the cool-new-stuff list in 2012 were the
Versaband and the Open weave headbands.
The Pocket Disc itself joined the newsmakers in the past year with
the issuance of its patent. That’s exciting news for the product that
began with an unintended lip on the trivet Savanna Groft made as a
3rd grade crochet project. For those that don’t know the story, the
aerodynamically correct trivet (pictured) came to life a year later
when Chris picked it up and tossed it to Patrick. After
much experimentation, the Pocket Disc was born
and grew into the amazing variety of patterns
we sell today.
Our Fair Trade mission is a part of what we
do every day, knowing that each box that leaves
our warehouse is helping Mayan mothers
keep their kids in school longer. It is our hope
therefore that we can continue to grow with
you and increase our impact every year.
