Qualifying Heats (2): 15 Laps: 1-2 Advance to feature field, remainder to Last Chance(s)
Last Chance(s) (1): 20 Laps: 1-4. Advance to feature field. 5. $175, ROF $125 each
Championship Points: Feature Event: 1-100, 2-93, 3-87, 4-82, 5-78, 6-75, 7-72, 8-69, 9-66, 10-63, 1160, 12-58 subtract 2 points for each position after. Last Chance Event: First car not transferring to feature will be awarded 25 points, subtract 1 point for each position after, minimum of 10 points.
Preliminary Events (qualifying heats, dashes): First place 10 points, deduct 1 point for each position
after, minimum of 1 point awarded.
Qualifying: Each car will be given two laps of qualifying, with the best time being used. The top
14 qualifiers will transfer into the feature field. Odd/Even dashes (full invert, 8 laps), qualifying heats
(inverted by 4), last chance races (line-up by heat finish) will be run. In the event that qualifying is cancelled, drivers will draw for heat race position, the top 14 cars available from top 20 of 2014 Big 8 Points
will be locked into feature.
Feature Line-up: The top four finishers from each dash comprise Positions 1-8 in order of finish,
Positions 9-14 will consist of dash finishers five through seven lined up as a single group straight up by
time. Positions 15-18 will be lined up ‘straight-up’ from heat finishes, positions 19-22 will be lined up
‘straight-up’ from the Last Chance finish(es). The highest point position not if the field (top 20 from 2014
Big 8 Series points) will start 23. The highest point position not in the field (top 20 from 2014 Rockford
Speedway points) will start 24. Number of last chance races may be adjusted based on number
of entries. Feature field may be expanded due to number of entries.
Race Procedures: All cars involved in a caution will fall to the tail, the last completed lap will be
used for all relines, all restarts will be double file (including preliminary) with the leader out front, with all
lead lap cars choosing their lane at the ‘cone’, lapped cars and cars involved in caution will start at the
rear of the longest line. All lapped cars will restart behind lead lap cars on ALL restarts, with Lucky
Dawg awarded.
Special Event Rules: GM Crate Motor required 6700 chip. Race weight allowance for all, 10 lbs
last chance, 44 lbs feature (1/2 lb per lap). Same tires must be used for qualifying, dash, heat, last
chance and feature (4 new Hoosier S800 tires allowed this event).

Track/Series Champion Bonus: $50 (Maximum $100)- Most recent track champion from Big 8 Family tracks and
ANY Big 8 Series Champion will receive a $50 bonus at each Big 8 Series event* If Big 8 Champion is also Big 8
Family Track Champion their bonus is $100. The maximum champion bonus is $100.
Weekly/Big 8 Series Feature Win Bonus: $25 per win (Maximum $100)- Feature win must come at Big 8 Family
Track in Big 8 style car or in Big 8 Series event. The previous year’s win totals will be used for first two Big 8 events.
Driver will receive $25 bonus (maximum $100 feature win bonus) for each feature win, combining Big 8 Series and
Big 8 Family Track wins, at each Big 8 Series event*
Points Standing Bonus: $25 (Maximum $50)- Highest 5 ranked drivers out of top 10 of current point standings at
each Big 8 Family Track will receive a $25 bonus at each Big 8 Series event* The top 8 from Big 8 Series points will
receive a $25 bonus at each Big 8 Series event* The previous year’s point standings will be used for first two events.
*NOTE: Must be pre-entered to become eligible for any and all bonuses. Must present Big 8 Legal car and make
reasonable attempt to compete in all events qualified for.
