Title: VRelizse Operation Manager Appliance
1.Scope: Install and Configuration VRelize Operations Manager Appliance.
2. Prerequisites:

3. Installation Steps:
A. Vsphere Click -- File--->Deploy OVF Template-->Open < vRealize-Operations-Manager-Appliance6.0.1.2523163_OVF10>
B. Make sure source -OVF Template- to vRealize-Operations-Manager-Appliance-6.0.1.2523163_OVF10
and click Next.
C. OVF Template Details: Verify OVF Template Details.. Confirm and Click Next.
D. Click Accept EULA and Click Next.
E. Name and Location:
F. Deployment Configuration- Select the Appropriate Size of Organization.
*Here are list of Configuration Size Options:
For this demonstration will choice small size for the configuration size.
G. Select Datastore Format- Thin Provision.
F. *Leave Power on After Deployment uncheck. Ready To Complete- Finish.
2. Configure VRelaized Operations Appliance
A. Open Newly VROP Applicance--VM Console from Vsphere client.
B. Open VROP Realize Https:// <IP Address listed in Console>, I.E 192.168.2.229 DHCP.
*Note There 3 Installation Options.
1. Express Installation,2. New Installation, and 3. Expand an Existing Installation.
* In this demonstration we will choice a New Installation.
C. VRelaize Operations Manager Initial Setup. Click Next.
D. Set Administrator Password and Click Next.
E. Install Certificate-(You can obtain Sign Certificate from local CA) In this demonistration we will be
using the default certificates.
F. Deployment Settings. Cluster Node Name<Master VROP >, I.E TEST.

G. Click Finish- vRealized Operations Manager Initial Setup-
3. Upload Object and Metric AdaptersDownload from VSX site(https://solutionexchange.vmware.com/store Site.)
A. Select Vmware Extensibility Tools and Advance Management Packs.----> Select VCenter Operation
Manger Port Adapter and Management Infra and Operations Packs.
Click - Try- Save it to temp location -c:\downloads
*Repeat same process by clicking back and select the other modules and adapters.
4. Upload Adapter and Modules.
A. Login back into the vRealized Console---->Software Update---->Browse---> to Pak file--><c:\downloads>.
B. Click Upload- Keep everything default.
*Will get a prompt the file is getting staged. ...
C. Click Next to Continue.
D. Add Software Update. Click I Accept the EULA and Click Next.
E. Click Finish once it is complete.
F. Log off and Log back in the vRealized Console to view managment and adatper installed.
5. Create New vROP Environment.
This section is set up new vROP environment.
A. Select New Environment under Choose Configuration type and Click Next.
B. Accept the EULA. Click Checkbox I accept and Next.
C. Select Product Evaluation Key.(For this demonstration-Choose Evaluation)
D. Click vRealize Operation Manager Configuration and Click Finish.
*you see prompt load and log you off vROPS .
Log into after loading process. YOu will vROP Console Configuration.
Licensing, Credentials, Policies, Environment Overview, Object Relationshis, Maintenance Schedule,
Access Control, LDAP Import Sources,Cluster Management, Certificates..
Log off once again and back in to get all Environment Health , Environment Risk and Environment
Efficiency Dashboard To Show UP.
6. Upgrade or Migrate older Version VCOPS to vRealize Operation Manager
This section is for migrating older version VCOPS over to vRealize OPS.
A. Select Import Environment and Click Next.
B. Click on I Accept.. EULA and Click Next.
C. Enter vRealize Operations Manager product license key.
D. Select Source of the Older VCOPS Version and Click Add Source. (Migration Agent to the source
system will be installed)
