Randahl-MEEMIC Educator Excellence Nominees, First of all, we want to congratulate all of you on being nominated for Teacher of the Year. Each of you do so many phenomenal things inside and outside the classroom to ensure that your students are receiving an outstanding educational experience. The committee enjoyed reading and learning about your innovations in the classroom, your leadership in your school, and most importantly, your dedication to kids. The letters your colleagues wrote about you inspired everyone on the committee and reminded us what true professionalism it takes to be an outstanding teacher. Using the rubric created by BEA representatives for each building, the committee studied all the letters many times, and with all the wonderful accolades written about each of you, it was a very difficult decision to choose just one teacher of the year. Yet, after much deliberation, we selected this year's BEA Teacher of the Year to be Ron Rodgerson, Elementary Band Teacher. As you know this year we will also award three more accolades for the BEA/Dr. Francis S. Randahl MEEMIC Educator Excellence Award. Again, after further consideration, the committee agreed that the recipients of these awards are: Elementary School: Middle School: High School: Erica Maliszewski, 3/4 Teacher at BCS 5/6 Teacher at BCS Amy Burns, 7/8 Amy Voigt, English teacher at Groves High School Congratulations to our winners and to all the wonderful nominees.
