The selection was made after a regional search and selection process where Allbright interviewed with the Foundation’s co-founders Todd and Tara Storch and their board of directors. “We are very pleased to announce this position,” said Todd Storch, Board Chair and co-founder. “Emily will bring extensive non-profit experience and creativity to Taylor’s Gift’s programs and a deep sense of commitment to our mission.” Allbright has more than 14 years of experience working with non-profit organizations, fundraising, volunteer development and event management. As Executive Director, Allbright will be responsible for fundraising, advocacy, outreach, volunteer development, overseeing day-to-day operations and supporting the Board of Directors with the foundation's vital mission. “The Foundation is having wonderful momentum, so it was time to go to the next level with hiring an Executive Director,” said Tara Storch. The foundation began in 2010 after Todd and Tara Storch’s 13year-old daughter, Taylor, died in a snow-skiing accident. In the past five years, Taylor's Gift has made an incredible impact on organ donation awareness and has a national footprint supporting Donate Life Texas and other state registries. Taylor’s Gift supports and promotes official Donate Life organ donor registrations in the United States. Emily is a Dallas native and earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Texas Christian University and a master's degree in social work from The University of Texas at Arlington.
