Color Camp One-Day Retreat
Do you stress out when it's time to choose colors and fabrics for a new
quilt or garment? You need a retreat! You need to come to Color Camp!
The no-sew workshop consists of cut-and-paste color exercises, that
focus on value (light and dark), temperature (warm and cool), and
intensity (bright and dull). These characteristics, more than color itself,
determine the impact of a quilt or garment. An overview of the color
wheel shows quilters how to use this invaluable tool to build a color
scheme from scratch, or to fix one that doesn't work. The final exercises
explores the effects of light and warmth coming from behind the quilt
surface. It's lots of creative fun, and you'll leave "Color Camp" with fresh
ideas for working with color. Christine will present a mini trunk show of
her garments and quilts to show you how she applies color basics to her
work. Instructor: Christine Barnes ($60)
