Training Camp for those who own or want to own a long arm
quilting system. This is your chance to spend one to two full days
mastering the skills of using a quilting machine with author and
quilt artist Kay Capps Cross. Two separate seminars will be
offered and packed with basic, advanced and creative techniques
along with tips that will increase your long arm quilting
knowledge and experience. Watch your long arm skills build and
transform in this one-day discovery program.
Kay Capps Cross is a renowned quilting instructor &
internationally-known quilt designer. She brings over two
decades of quilting and teaching experience. Each seminar
attendee will work as a team with other quilting enthusiasts
mastering their skills from basic to advanced.
Baby Lock Crown Jewel Owners Class
Day 1 Thursday, August 22nd 10 am- 5 pm
Part 1 Saturday, Aug 24th or Sunday, Aug. 25th 10am - 1pm
This class will cover: Understanding and loading the quilting frame,
quilting methods, function of quilting, thread & color selections.
You will go through the basics of free motion quilting by learning
five different shapes as well as the basics in marking your quilt.
Dancing with the Crown Jewel: Learn all of the creative capabilities with the
Crown Jewel. All of the accessories will be demonstrated and explained.
Rulers, pantographs, pattern boards, lasers, and marking tools will all be
shown and discussed. Making the most of this investment is loads of fun!

This class will cover: Free motion creativity - you will take what you

you use the new skill sets that was taught in Day 1.

Computerized Quilting: let’s take a look at computerized quilting from
different angles. We’ll see how easy it is to do an all-over design on a quilt,
or a block-by-block in no time at all. In addition, more advanced features
will be shown and the creativity possible will amaze you. From quick "get it
done" quilts to custom quilting will be explored.
