The Ner Tamid Society
The Ner Tamid Society is B’nai Jeshurun’s dedicated group of congregants who make a
difference in ensuring the present and future of our congregation through an enhanced
annual financial commitment to the synagogue.
With their annual gift of $10,000 or $20,000 in annual operating support, Ner Tamid
members contribute to the Mahar Campaign, receive endowed seats in the David J.
Moskowitz Sanctuary for the High Holy Day services and pay their annual membership
dues, as well as provide generous support to other important congregational fundraising
such as the Tribute Dinner.

Mahar, our annual campaign for operating support, provides crucial support to the
synagogue. Thank you to each of the 345 donors to the 2014 Mahar Campaign. This
year, as a result of an anonymous donor’s generosity, all new gifts and increased gifts
were matched dollar for dollar. We are proud to announce that we surpassed our fund
raising goal this year, raising more than $243,000. Every gift made a difference.
You gave because you found comfort at a minyan when mourning a loss, because of the
wonderful time you had singing karaoke at Purim, because of an inspiring speaker you
heard, because of a sermon you heard that brought you a new perspective, because your
kids came home from a USY or Kadima event and couldn’t wait to go back to the next
one, and for myriad other reasons.

congregation provides.
