PUBLIC ART VENUE PROSPECTUS: CAFÉ AION
Bi-Monthly Solo Exhibit









All BAA members are welcome to submit. There is no submission fee. Artists
will be selected by a jury panel chosen by BAA. The owner of Café Aion, Dakota
Soifer, has the final decision on which of the selected artists’s works will be
displayed.
Submission is via email to [email protected]. Submit 3-6 digital images
of original 2-D artworks with name, title, size and medium on each image.
Images must be in jpeg format (try to keep each image file size under 600
kilobytes). Please put “Café Aion Submission” in the subject line of your email.
Also include artist’s website if available and/or Bio.
Submissions are accepted starting May 1 – July 15. Artists will be scheduled
starting in September 2015 through August of 2016. Please indicate the months
you are available to show in your submission-- September-October 2015,
November-December 2015, January-February 2016, March-April 2016,
May-June 2016, July-August 2016, September-October 2016, or NovemberDecember 2016.
Acceptance notification will be emailed by July 30. Guidelines and
Agreement form for exhibiting at Café Aion will be provided at this time. (The
Guidelines and Agreement form will also be available on the BAA website)
There is no commission fee. The artist handles any sales. Interested buyers
will contact the artist directly.
Each artist may arrange a reception hosted by Café Aion. (Café Aion is
happy to offer happy hour pricing for drinks and tapas!)
Artists will need to assist with installation.
Artists will notify BAA at least a month in advance of scheduled show if
he/she has to cancel.
Participation in this public venue exhibition automatically assumes the
artist waives any claims of damage or theft against Café Aion, BAA, or its
coordinator(s). You may consider purchasing insurance to protect against
loss. Artists give Café Aion and BAA permission to use images of the
submitted artworks for show publicity.
