FINAL For more information contact: [email protected] boulevardia.com Boulevardia Greens Up its Expanded Borders Greenville and new sustainability efforts are sure to be highlights of this year’s festival June 3, 2015 – Kansas City – In addition to Boulevardia’s expanded footprint this year, the festival will take the next step in promoting Sustainability awareness. The CommunityAmerica Greenville destination, located in the northeast region of the urban street festival, will incorporate a unique street-‐ to-‐park transformation by Better Block KC, featuring an acoustic stage, a bar of canned craft beers, yard games and shaded areas to kick back and relax. Also new this year, patrons will be allowed to bring in their own empty water containers to fill at a complimentary water station sponsored by H&R Block. Keepsake bottles will also be sold and available for refilling. Returning from Boulevardia’s inaugural year will be the waste, recycling and compost stations staffed by Bridging the Gap and the interactive exhibits on Saturday and Sunday from some of Kansas City’s finest sustainable organizations spearheaded by Ripple Glass. The Boulevardia grounds also includes non-‐stop music from national, regional and local acts on two other stages in addition to the acoustic stage, a Makers Market highlighting local merchant goods, the cycling Ride2Boulevardia event, tasty food trucks and a variety of special experiences highlighting craft beer. -‐more-‐ A hotel partnership has been established to assist with traveler accommodations. The Marriott, located in Downtown Kansas City, has rooms at $159 per night, which includes two complimentary Boulevardia General Admission tickets for each night booked. Tickets can be used for a day of the guest’s choice. A complimentary shuttle service to and from the festival during Boulevardia’s hours of operation will also be provided.
