TURBINE STUDIO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Version 3.0 – 11/5/2015 Auditorium Seating The Turbine Studio is a flat floor non fixed seating venue, allowing the seating to be configured as per show requirements. The venue has a maximum capacity of 150. The standard Theatre Mode configuration typically has a small stage located at the north end of the space and 10 rows of 15 seats making a capacity of 150. The venue is supplied as a black box with no stage or seating but can be installed as a cost to the hirer. Staging Brisbane Powerhouse has a limited supply of staging and rigging equipment available. Additional rigging equipment is available for hire. Please note all rigging must be installed by a licensed rigger. Brisbane Powerhouse can provide a licensed rigger for a fee if required. Additional staging equipment, including soft blacks, rostra and treads, are also available for hire. Please contact Brisbane Powerhouse for the complete list of equipment. RIGGING  Fixed grid of 48mm heavy wall steel scaffold pipe  Grid height is 3.3 m to the underside of the pipe  60kg per meter distributed load  200kg point load STAGE FLOOR The stage is a sprung timber dance floor. The top deck is masonite. The floor has a 750kg per square meter distributed load. ROOM DIMENSIONS  13.5 m x 10.7 m DRAPES The venue comes supplied with gathered black wall masking. All patching is achieved with 4 circuit looms as there are no patch outlets in the grid. For point loads and rigging information refer to rigging section across. They are normally both used for the Lighting System. Stage Management System There is no Stage Management System located in the Turbine Studio. Sound The Audio system in the Turbine Studio currently comprises 2 x Martin F15+ cabinets and an 18” Martin sub powered by two QSC 236 Amplifiers. Mixing consoles available include the Yamaha LS9-32 or 16; the Soundcraft ZED10 or the Studiomaster GB2-24 as requested. Leads, power adapters and interconnects are available as part of the venue hire and additional audio equipment such as Graphics and Monitor speakers may be available on request – please contact the Brisbane Powerhouse for a more extensive list of equipment. Fire Evacuation and Work Place Health and Safety Induction All visiting clients, including crew and cast, must undergo a venue specific induction regarding fire evacuation and workplace health and safety. A copy of the Brisbane Powerhouse fire evacuation procedure is available on request. It is a requirement of Brisbane Powerhouse Work Place Health and Safety that closed-in shoes are worn on stage for all site inspections, bump in and bump outs. Smoking Policy The Brisbane Powerhouse is a non-smoking venue. Persons who smoke are required by law to smoke only in Designated Smoking Areas. Risk Assessment Shows which are deemed to contain an item or event that may cause a potential hazard may be required to complete a risk assessment in consultation with Brisbane Powerhouse.
