A funky, affordable architecturally designed new home option is
putting Brookstone on the Park on the map.
A

dynamic boutique building products
like Proximity are popping up.
The semi-detached houses in
four sophisticated designs, a collaboration of
Halcorp Developments, Lancini Property &
Development and Townsville architectural
drafter Dan Thomson, are filling a niche in the
market for those who want to bypass traditional
options.
“They offer the space and privacy of living in
your own home, but the security and
maintenance of townhouse living,” Brookstone
on the Park sales agent Murray Mayes said.
“Proximity boasts a very spacious three
bedroom, two bathroom and single car
accommodation with patio design but you
share a common party wall.
“However you have your own freehold title
without the body corporate costs but at a very
attractive price point.”
Mr Mayes said for $299,000 buyers are
getting an innovative layout, modern designer
fittings and low maintenance landscaping –
which has mainly attracted downsizers and first
timers.
“Mostly I have been speaking with older
folks wanting to move from the big family home
to reduce maintenance so they can enjoy
winding down into retirement but also have
that added security,” he said.
“While new home buyers, eligible for the
$15,000 government Great Start Grant, who
want to crack into the property market are
looking for all the inclusions and a high quality
finish.”
However Proximity is a limited release with
only 26 lots up for sale within the Brookstone
on the Park development, which opened in
February this year
So far two homes have been completed, with
one also styled by interior designer Kya Faust at
Vanilla Design with pieces from Melk Furniture
& Homewares to give buyers a good idea of just
how livable the space is.
