Page 2 — Wednesday, November 16, 2011, The Millen News Rocker, Scott and Clifton elected By Deborah Bennett Millen News Editor Approximately 44.44 percent of the City of Millen’s registered voters went to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 8, to elect a Mayor and two city council members. Incumbent Mayor King Rocker was successful in his bid for re-election defeating Bobby Anthony by a vote of 525 to 289. In the city council, District #2 race, newcomer Robin Scott was the winning candidate with 175 votes. Incumbent Lee Ward Williams polled 25 votes; Edna E. Golff, 33; and Hamp Scott, 14. Incumbent City Councilman Darrel Clifton, District #1, was unopposed in his bid for reelection and received 419 votes. Eight hundred twenty-four votes were cast in the election.
