each time they are on campus. This system
provides us with an immediate and current
background check on all visitors to our campus.

A message from the nurse……..
Parents, please do not send your children to school if
they have
had the following symptoms within the last 24 hours:
vomiting,
diarrhea or fever. Also, please keep your child home if
they are
suffering from: sore red throat, persistent coughing/
sneezing, rash, drainage from the ear, excessive mucus from the nose-especially greenish yellow mucus.
We try our best to protect students from being exposed to communicable diseases and need your cooperation.

this summer for students KG-5 that are interested. Please

Hillsborough County Public Schools is offering a FREE educational VPK
program for children entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2015!
Plan now to take advantage of the FREE 30‐Day summer program at a Hillsborough County
Public School near you. Give your child a jump start into kindergarten!
Program Locations: Bailey, Bellamy, Bing, Bryan, Buckhorn, Chiles, Crestwood, Cypress
Creek, Gorrie, Graham, Just, Mitchell, Mort, Oak Grove, Oak Park, Potter, Schmidt, Sheehy,
Sulphur Springs, Summerfield, Thonotosassa, BT Washington, Witter
Program Dates: June 15, 2015—August 4, 2015
Program Times: Monday—Thursday, 7:30 AM ‐ 6:00 PM (flexible)
School Registration will begin on Monday, April 27, 2015
Child must be 5 years old or turn 5 on or before September 1, 2015. Child must have been born between September 2, 2009 and September 1, 2010. Child may not have previously attended a VPK Program during the
school year.
Parents are encouraged to go online NOW at http://www.elchc.org/vpk_parent_online.html to
begin the registration process and apply for the REQUIRED Certificate of Eligibility. Once they have
obtained the Certificate, they will need to bring it to the VPK school of their choice to finalize the process (after April 27) and secure a seat at that site.
To apply online, parents will need the following:
An active email address that you check frequently
A computer that can run Flash media files
A scanner to create a PDF version of proof of your child’s date of birth
and a PDF version of proof of Florida residency
 Your child’s social security number
 Access to a printer to print out your VPK Certificate of Eligibility (COE)



For those who would prefer to register in person, trained personnel will be available at all
Hillsborough County Public Schools’ VPK sites after April 27, 2015.

Attention Parents:
Once students arrive on campus, they may not leave without
permission from an administrator or
designee. In the event a student must leave early,
the parent/guardian must make the request in person in the
Main Office. A picture ID must be presented.
