T
he Chevron Phillips Chemical Company
annual charity golf tournament has
become a Southeast Texas tradition! To date,
this event has raised more than $2.1 million to
help meet the needs of abused and neglected
children and families in our area.
“We are so proud to be a partner with
Buckner and our community in sponsoring
the tournament. Employees from our Orange
and Port Arthur plants work hard to make this
one of the premier golf events in Southeast
Texas,” said Mike Nemeth, Port Arthur Plant
Manager. “We hope you will consider supporting this great organization in their efforts
to help hurting children and families.”
John Carlson, Plant Manager in Orange
added that funds from the event stay in
Southeast Texas. “This is a great opportunity
to strengthen our community.”
For more than 45 years in Southeast Texas,
Buckner Children and Family Services has provided a safe home for boys and girls who have
been abused, neglected or abandoned. In addition to foster care and adoption programs,
Buckner helps young adults make the transition
from substitute care to self-sufficiency.
Buckner also serves families in crisis by offering parenting classes, crisis intervention services
and support.
Since 1879, Buckner International has been
transforming lives through hands-on ministry,
serving the most vulnerable from the beginning
to the ending of life. Buckner is one of the oldest
and most unique faith-based social service
organizations of its kind, serving people each
year in the United States and worldwide.
All proceeds from the Chevron Phillips Charity
Golf Tournament will stay in Southeast Texas
to benefit the children and families served by
Buckner.
Action Restoration provides disaster response
and environmental decontamination services to
reduce financial loss and business interruption.
