Tournament Notes and Conditions

1. This tournament is sanctioned by Tennis West and will be conducted under the present Rules of Tennis
and the Rules and Regulations of Tennis Australia and Tennis West; www.tennis.com.au
2. The competition shall be open to all tennis players. Players must qualify for age events by Dec 31 in the
year they turn the specified age. To qualify for the over 40 age bracket, all team members must be over
the age of 40.
3. As a participant in this event you are required to comply with various rules and conditions as determined
by the Tournament Committee and Tennis West.
4. The tournament committee shall have complete control of the competition and may vary the conditions,
rules or amalgamate events as required by the circumstances. Any disputes shall be dealt with by the
tournament committee whose decision shall be final.
5. Privacy policy – no information will be disclosed to third parties unless permitted by law. You hereby
agree that information may be collected to enable promotion of future tennis events and for non third
party benefit. Information may be disclosed to Tennis West or other relevant tennis bodies as required
or for future promotion of tennis events only.
6. You acknowledge that any pictures, video, names, ages or other information may be used for publication
promoting the event in advance or after the event. Bunbury Tennis Club also reserves the right (unless
specifically requested otherwise prior to the event) to use photographs, names, ages and email in
promotion of other tennis events or publicity.
7. Rounds will be played on a time basis
8. Competitors must report to the Match Control Point ready to play at least 20 mins prior to the scheduled
starting time for each match, irrespective of weather conditions.
9. Players are advised that whilst all due care and diligence is taken to protect players safety, players
understand that by playing, they undertake certain risks beyond the control of the match committee or
Bunbury Tennis Club.
10. Release and Indemnity – in consideration of playing in this event, I also agree to release and discharge
Bunbury Tennis Club, its committee, match committee or club volunteers from all liability, damages or
actions against them as a result of, or in connection with my participation in this event except where
excluded by law.
If players do not wish to proceed playing in conditions that they feel may be detrimental to their health or
well being, they may do so and be substituted with another team member in line with the terms and
