North Carolina’s 4-H Centennial Cookbook Celebrating 100 Years of Blue Ribbon Recipes Remember those blue ribbon entries in the County or State Fairs, your foods demonstration, the outdoor cookery or grilling category, the display you prepared for the Favorite Foods Show, the biscuit bake-off, and/or the foods you canned, froze or dried? With the celebration of the North Carolina 4-H Centennial, we have an opportunity to retrieve those memories and submit our “blue ribbon” recipes. This centennial project is more than a cookbook…with every recipe that is accepted, the contributor is requested to tell his/her blue ribbon 4-H story. To quote Mr. L. R. Harrill, North Carolina’s First State Leader, “4-H is about the business of growing blue ribbon boys and girls.” Please share those blue ribbon recipes and stories!
