C&A presents the fashion highlights for autumn/winter 2012 at the “Alte Federnfabrik” in Düsseldorf This spring, C&A is once again presenting its fashion preview of the coming autumn/winter 2012 season. The International C&A Press Fashion Show, taking place for the seventeenth time on 25th April, is a permanent fixture in the calendar of Europe’s fashion media. Around 300 international guests are expected to attend from twelve different countries. And a representative from Russia’s fashion press will also be on hand for the first time. The “Alte Federnfabrik”, on the site of Düsseldorf’s Boehler Werke event venue, has been selected as the scene for this fashion show. The former factory building was erected in 1914, and last year was named Germany’s best event venue. An 18 m high ceiling endows the 1600 sqm area with an impressive feeling of space. In the summer, the grounds of the old steelworks will host the Gallery Fashion Fair, the successor to the CPD. This year’s list of first-rank international models will feature a number of exceptional individuals. This event will mark the catwalk premiere of Li Xiaoran, an actress who has earned great renown in Chinese films and television productions. Concurrently with her film career, she has also completed her studies at the world-famous Chinese Dance Academy in Beijing. Alessandra Pocher will also be joining us. She is not only a designer, moderator and model, but also a mother of three and a jury member in the German television series “My name is …..”. Twenty-year-old Ursula James, known in Germany from the popular casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” and soon to feature in the television series “Unter uns”, is another new face on the catwalk. As usual, the show will be masterfully choreographed by Bruce Darnell, who consistently and inimitably sets new standards on the catwalks of the international fashion scene. In Germany, he can currently be seen as a juror on the show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, whose final episode will air three days after the Press Fashion Show.
