Recommended Elevator Route
We recommend that you ride the elevator to the 6th floor and use the
stairs at each end of the hallways to tour studios along the way down
to the 1st floor. Make sure not to miss the studios at the South end
of the 2nd floor, the Lower Level and the 120 Annex on the
NW corner of the ground floor.

Victor Keller – Studio 202
8 x 10 Camera Demo on Saturday, May 16
Victor will be demonstrating the wooden large format 8x10 camera with
paper negative technique. He will be making portraits of studio patrons and inviting
them to help process the image in the darkroom. Negatives will be scanned and
shared with participants electronically.

Sunday Figure Drawing Co-op – Studio 103
The Figure Drawing Co-op (meeting every Sunday for 39+ years)
will be open from 2 - 5 pm on Sunday, May 17
so that visitors may observe the artists at work.

Lois Norrgard, Alaska Wilderness League – Studio 212
Friday, 5-8 pm and Sunday, noon-4 pm
Lois Norrgard will be in Carole Fisher’s Studio to talk, answer questions,
about drilling in our pristine Arctic Ocean. Stop by and learn what you can do.
Oil, it’s continued impact, is a focus of Fisher’s work.
Art-A-Whirl...where it all started!
In 1980 the California Building became the first art studio building
in Northeast Minneapolis. A former grain mill turned studio building holds working space
for emerging, mid and late career artists in a variety of disciplines.
