Congratulations! There are a couple of things that you will want to do now that you have received your kit!! 1. Read all the contents and keep it with your kit so you can always have it as a reference guide. 2. Ask yourself, what questions do I have about the program? And can I answer them with these pages? Write down your questions and give us a call or email for further clarification. 3. Familiarize yourself with all of the shells in your kit, learn each name, material and texture. 4. Place a non-permanent sticker on the inside of the shells to help you with their names and product codes for upcoming parties. Newer shells will already have the name printed on the inside. 5. Read all past newsletters (that are still relevant) for tips and tricks for your parties! 6. Have a mock party! This way you can figure what supplies that you will need for your party and how you will go about setting your party up in someone’s home! 7. Start promoting yourself! You can do this through many free outlets like Kijiji or Craig’s List. Make sure to read the Do’s and Don’ts of Miche Bag to keep on top of being a great Home Party Representative! 8. Order your own Miche business cards using our template, which will be sent to you via email. 3 Selling Demonstration Introduce yourself and thank the hostess for hosting the party. Explain how she will be receiving a free shell for having a party (a party qualifies at $300 or more) and further explain how the incentive program works for both you, as a rep, and the hostess. Tell the hostess how much fun you have as a Miche Bag Rep and invite them to speak to you personally about becoming a rep. If possible, have a separate room where the hostess can greet the guests as they arrive. Have the Miche Bag commercial running on a TV or laptop while you mingle and chat and wait for late arrivals. Once everyone has arrived you can move the entire group to the show room for the unveiling, where you have previously set up the Miche Bag display. If you start and finish in the same room, we advise you arrange the Miche Bags and shells on a separate table and cover with a sheet until you have thanked the hostess, then unveil. Make sure you show your base bags in as many different combinations as possible, such as, the Miche Classic bag with all long, short and chain handles. Have the brown and black bags set up with shells that look best for each colour, Even show how one particular shell can look good on both the brown bag and the black bag. Talking demonstration…. It is jut like our logo says “one bag – endless possibilities”. Fill out clients name, address, phone number and email address. You will only use the email addresses for future parties and updating. Head office does not compile client’s emails. When we send out our new shell releases to you, make sure to pass it on to your customers. 2. Fill in Date of party, your name (presenter) and Host’s name. 3. Encourage your guests to book home parties. 4. Example of how to write down a Starter Kit onto the invoice. Make sure to fill out quantity and not to add any number value into the “amount” section. 5. Example of adding extra shell onto invoice. 6. Example of how to add more then one of the same shell to an invoice. Add actual price of product into “amount” section. Add total value of shells in the “extended” section ( 2x 20= $40). 7. Write in Sub-total of all products on invoice. 8. Add in shipping cost 9. Tip- Add in GST or HST on sub-total & shipping where applicable. 10. Add PST on Sub-total (if your province uses PST). 11. Add together sub-total, shipping, GST, PST 12. Copy down credit card type, credit card number, expiration date. Please make sure the customer signs the invoice. If the client is paying with cash or cheque, write down payment type in “card #” area. 13. If you receive a phone order and the customer is paying with a credit card, please get the three digit number off the back of the card in lieu of the customer’s signature. 9 Filling Host Incentives List- Example 1. Fill out host’s name, address, phone number and email address. You will only use the email addresses for future parties and updating. Head office does not compile client’s emails. 2. Fill in Date of party, your name (presenter) and Host’s name. 3. Example of how to write down incentives for the host of the party. Make sure to write down “incentive” so we know what they are and not to charge them to anything. 4. Do not fill in credit card numbers or price totals. You can write in “Host Incentives”. 10 Filling Presenter Incentives List- Example 1. Fill out your name. 2. Fill in Date of party, your name (presenter) and Host’s name. 3. Write in all clients’ names that have paid with either cash or cheque and write the totals of their invoices. Tally up overall amount of cash and cheques and write total in the “total” section on the lower right hand side of the invoice. This amount will be charged to your credit card. 4. Fill in your (the presenters) incentives. Make sure to write down “incentive” so we know what they are and not to charge them to anything. 5. Copy down your credit card type, credit card number and expiration date and your signature. Remember to sign your invoice. $527.00 Note: Please do not write your credit card number on every invoice where cash or cheque is used as payment. During CC processing, it is important for us to process only the total of your CC. Processing multiple items to your CC will disable your card. 11 Example of Master Order Form This is an example of what your master order form should look like. 12 Steps to filling out Master Order Form 1. In the first row beside “Customer Name” write each clients name and assign them to their own column. Also add in Host Incentives and HPR Incentives like above, put “Host Incentives” and “HPR Incentives” in customer’s name row. If you have more then five clients for one party use another sheet or use this document as an excel spreadsheet and add columns and formulas. 2. List off each order under each name. Enter the amount of each item purchased. If your client Barb orders two classic black base bags you would write a 2 in the corresponding spot. 3. When you reach the bottom of the list you will need to fill in the orders sub-total, shipping taxes and total. 4. Under the column to the right that says total you will mark down the total amount of each shell needed. If all three clients on your list want a Jayma shell then you would enter in a three (3) in the total column (This includes Host and HPR Incentives). 5. Once you have plugged in all the data in the Master Order form you will need to calculate the order form total for all the clients on the particular form. Tally the final total amount of the sub-total, shipping taxes and total located at the bottom right hand side of the table. 6. Note: The master order form is supposed to be a summary of your party order!! 7. Once your order is complete, you can fax your order to 905-438-8641 or toll free 1-877-977-9097 or scan and email your order [email protected], and then we will reply with a confirmation of receiving your order. If you fax your order, you will receive a confirmation via email. 13 Your Order Once you have completed your order and have either faxed or emailed it to us, it will be placed in the queue based on date and time received. We then review your order for accuracy and will process the credit card payments. If there is a problem with any credit card in your order it maybe due to the following reasons; Declined Credit Card (A CC will decline if the expiration date is incorrect or there is insufficient funds). Invalid Credit Card (Important that the CC information is written down correctly). We will contact you at this point via phone or email. Your order will be placed on hold until there is a resolution with the credit card issue(s). Once your order has successfully been processed we then proceed to pack your order. With every party order submitted we would replenish you with invoices, postcards and brochures. We also include retail bags with every order. We recommend that all orders be sent to the HPR for distribution. The size of the order will determine whether we send it by Canada Post or UPS standard service. When you receive your order please review all items for accuracy. If you have a problem with your order be sure to email your Customer Service Rep for your province with all the details so we may fix it as soon as possible. Moira- Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI Kathy- Ontario Elaine- Alberta Leanne- Manitoba, Saskatchewan, NWT, Yuken and Nunavut After checking your order please use the supplied retail bags to pack your customer orders. Please ensure that your clients receive a copy of their Miche invoice (this is for warranty issues or refunds) AND a copy of their credit card slip (if they used a credit card). When delivering a client’s order, take this opportunity to invite them to another party or suggest the benefits of hosting their own party! Remember to retrieve all of your clients email addresses so you may send them updates on new shells and email party invitations! 14 Miche Mini Base Incentives Program Miche Mini Base Incentive Program is for both the Home Party Consultant and the hostess; both parties will receive the same incentives down the list. Please ensure that your hostess is receiving the correct incentives. Below are a few ways to use your incentives to become the best HPR that you can be! Use your incentives to build up your Home Party Kit. Having a complete kit will allow the guests to view and feel all the current shells as well as accessories. You will have fewer returns when the guest is fully aware of what they are purchasing. As we retire shell(s), retire yours. Keep them for your own personal use or use them as specials in a draw for everyone who has purchased an item. Once your kits have been built up, use your incentives to reward hostesses or as special draws. Reward your hostess if customers at her party have their own party by giving them an additional booking incentive. Use shells for charity draws (ask about our charity program). Your hostess can receive even more incentives! If your hostess has a party and guest(s) book a home party with your hostess they will be eligible to receive a Quick Clip Strap, Adjustable Strap, Black or Brown Chain Straps, Closet Organizer or Purse Organizer. The original hostess will receive their incentive once the subsequent parties have taken place. *NEW* You may now use the Hope Shell as an incentive. We have heard the buzz and have managed to get creative so we all benefit, but most importantly Childhood Cancer benefits. All we ask, at Miche Canada, is that you pay the $5 for every Hope Miche you use as an incentive. This way, we get more Hope shells into circulation and we make more money for childhood cancer research. Not only are we adding the Miche Bag as an incentive, you will now be able to purchase the Hope shells with your discount as long as you pay the extra $5 as a donation to the Childhood Cancer Foundation! Commission Commission is 20 per cent (or 25 per cent if you have referred five active representatives) of all your net sales (Net being the total of sales NOT including taxes or shipping on all orders). Commission is processed and sent out on a monthly basis. 18 Out Of Town Parties And Applicable Taxes If you are asked as a Home Party Representative to do a party out of your province please remember to charge the applicable taxes for that province. For example, you live in Ontario and are visiting relatives in Alberta and your cousin would like to host a party, you would subsequently charge the Alberta tax of 5% on your orders. Basically, where the customer resides, is what applicable taxes should be charged, regardless of what Province she ordered from. Retired and Back Ordered Shells Periodically a shell will retire and will no longer be available to order. The shell will officially be “retired” once we have run out of stock. We will give you some notice as to how much stock is left of the soon to be retiring shell. If your customer chooses a retiring shell, have them pick an alternative shell just in case the stock has been depleted by the time the order is being placed. Sometimes this transition happens very quickly so you may get a party order back less the retired shells. Call your customers and have them choose an alternative shell and add it to your next party order. When a shell has been back ordered it means that we are currently out of stock but will be getting more stock in. Once the stock has been replenished we will send out the back ordered shells. 19 Discounted Prices Consultants may purchase any one shell at a discounted price that was not purchased in their original kit or received through the incentives program. These prices do not include either tax or shipping costs (full shipping costs of $15 will be added if not ordered through a party). To take advantage of our consultants rates please fill out a Miche Bag Invoice and submit with party order. The 25 per cent club is an incentive for HPR’s to recruit more representatives for Miche Bag Canada. For every active representative that you sign up you will receive $100.00. When you have five (5) active HPR’s signed up, your commission will rise to 25 per cent. We have just added a new feature to the mix; if a HPR already has their five active HPR’s and are receiving their 25 per cent commission, we will now award them with $200.00 for every active representative they sign on thereafter. The Rules The rules of the 25% Club are very easy. Please review the following. You will be rewarded your $100.00 bonus for signing up a new rep when they have received their kit and have sent in their first party order. Sending in orders shows that an HPR is still active in the program. When you have your five representatives, they all must stay active for you to receive your 25 per cent commission. We give four months before we place an HPR on the inactive list. If they moved over, you will have to find a new rep to replace them to keep receiving your extra five per cent commission every month. When you have your 5 active HPRs and 25 per cent commission, we will reward you with $200.00 per active rep thereafter. If you are close or already at your goal, it is nice to have a few extra representatives signed up on your behalf. It will help you stay in the 25 per cent bracket longer, as one of your representatives may become inactive. 21 Home Party Representatives Do’s and Don’ts Don’ts Don’t Have a Personal Miche Bag Website Personal websites advertising the Miche brand and your services are prohibited (Unidem Sales Inc. has exclusive rights to the Miche brand name and it is illegal to use it on personal sites). Don’t Have a Personal Miche Bag Facebook/Twitter/MySpace Pages Personal Facebook/Twitter/MySpace pages advertising the Miche Brand and your services are prohibited (Unidem Sales Inc. has exclusive rights to the Miche brand name and it is illegal to use it on personal sites). Don’t Sell Miche Brand Products Via Websites or Non-approved Outlets Selling Miche brand products on any websites or in non-approved outlets (Unidem has exclusive rights to the Miche brand and distribution). Don’t Participate in Any Venue Open to the Public Miche Bag Home Party Consultants cannot participate in any of the following; tradeshows, roadshows, flea markets, malls, a church bizarre or any other venue open to the public. Don’t Interfere with Costco Roadshows or Tradeshows Miche Bag Home Party Consultants should not interfere with our Costco roadshow and/or tradeshows. Please refrain from handing out your business card and promoting home parties at these locations. The road show is a separate program and is not connected to the Home Party Program. Don’t Add Corporate Email to Your Personal Mailing List When contacting Miche Bag Canada, please remember not to add our e-mails to your personal mailing list. Although we do enjoy a good joke every once in awhile, our e-mails are strictly for customer service and work related items. 22 Do’s Do Advertise in the Classifieds Advertising your Home Parties in online classified add websites like www.kijiji.com, www.craigslist.com and www.buyandsell.ca. Do Invite Friends & Family to Join Our Official Facebook & Twitter Page You can invite friends and family to join our official Facebook and Twitter page to get daily updates and information. Do Ask Us Permission For Participating in a Non-Home Party Function With approval from Unidem Sales Inc. you may participate in a private function/venue that is closed to the public and by invitation only. Unidem Sales Inc. must approve the event first. Submit all requests to [email protected] and [email protected] Do Use Printed Materials That Are Pre-Approved by Miche Bag Canada All printed material has to be pre-approved by Miche Bag Canada. We will provide all leaflets and a general business card template to be used by all consultants. You will receive an email with the business card template. You may use the business card template to print at your convenience, some suggested printing sites are www.vistaprint.com and www.dcp-print.ca . Stamps can also be found on these sites. Make sure that you have included your name, phone number and e-mail when obtaining stamp. We would kindly ask that if any of our Home Party Representatives are participating in any of the non- acceptable actions to please stop immediately. It is very important to Unidem that we protect the Miche brand and our all of our Representatives. Corporate displays such as the Costco Roadshow and Tradeshows are considered living commercials, which are designed to generate brand awareness, and through these events we often collect leads that we pass down to our Home Party Representatives. If you have and questions please feel free to send an email to either [email protected] or [email protected] You are what makes our team great, thank you and keep up the good work! 23 Storage & Cleaning of Shells The way you store and clean your Miche Bag will affect its life and how long you will be able to cherish your favourite shells! This is important for your clients to know. It will make their bags last longer as well as keeping your clients happy. Storage Storing your shells in the correct manner is particularly essential to keep your shells looking their best! Shells should be stored vertically with studs never coming into contact with the “good side” of the shell. You do NOT want the shells to be magnetized to each other; this could cause fabric dimpling on the exterior of the shell. To take extra care, place a piece of tissue between each shell to guarantee that there is no scuffing or colour transfer from shell to shell. Using our special Miche Bag Max/Classic closet organizer will also help keep your shells in their best condition. Never fold a Miche shell into 3 like a clutch bag. This could stretch the fabric. Fold only once like it was in the original packaging. Cleaning When cleaning a shell that has a fabric exterior you can use such products like a “Tide To Go” stick or a mild soap and water, (make sure you test it first to ensure it doesn’t affect the colour of the fabric). Another way to protect your shell is to spray it with a fabric protector to seal it before you wear it. Using a fabric protector will normally make it water and stain resistant and will ensure years of enjoyment. To clean a shell with a faux leather exterior it is as easy as wiping it down with a damp cloth. You can also spray the shells with either an All-Care protector or leather protector to seal the bag and to help to make them last longer. 24 Returns/Exchanges & Warranty Warranties and Returns are a topic that we get asked about on a constant basis. To keep you in the loop or update you on policy please read about both Returns/Exchanges and Warranty Items. Return/Exchanges Miche Bag Canada allows returns or exchanges within 30 days of purchase of their Miche Bag base bag, shells or accessories. If your customer would like a refund or exchange please have them send their bag/shells with the invoice to : Unidem Sales 8-1288 Ritson Rd N, Box 240 Oshawa, ON L1G 8B2 Please keep the following things in mind for refunds and exchanges: 1. All items must be returned in original condition and in the original packaging with an invoice. 2. Miche Bag Canada does not cover return shipping costs. 3. Refund and exchange requests outside of the 30-day purchase window will not be honoured. 4. Commission on refunded orders will be deducted from your next commission. Warranty All Miche Bag products including bags and shells come with a one-year warranty that covers manufacturers defects to zippers, straps, sewing, carabineer etc, it does not cover normal wear and tear of the product. If your customer needs a Miche Bag product replaced under the year warranty, as an acting agent for Miche bag please cover the following process. ♥ Ensure that it was purchased within one year (get a copy of the receipt). ♥ Add the warranty item to your next party order (write up an invoice with customers name, description of problem and when it was originally purchased). ♥ Please take item from client and discard item as you see fit (don’t worry about sending it back to us). 25 Facebook and Twitter Your clients can get all the Miche Bag updates through our new official Facebook and Twitter pages. Since October 2009 we have been updating our current Facebook and Twitter account on a daily basis. We want to have all of our wonderful Home Party Consultants and friends to be up-to-date on the Miche Brand and also to be able to communicate with each other. Ask questions, give advice or just tell us that you’re a fan, you can be as active as you like! Finally, please invite your clients to become a fan of Miche Bag Canada, the more our name spreads, the more beneficial it will be for our home party consultants! Our vision is to streamline our public forums to focus on the consumer. Miche Bag Canada will be implementing new interactive tools and with that, we will ask you to please abide by the new HPR rules. No defamation of Miche Bag (including its products and practices) on public corporate forums such as Miche Bag Canada’s official Facebook, Twitter and Youtube channels. The following rules have been put in place to protect the interests of you, our consumers, Miche Bag Canada and its products. Please keep in mind that if you do not abide by the following rules, with due warning you will be banned from all official Miche Bag Canada public forums. Miche Bag Canada would like to thank you Gift Cards We have gift cards available to our Home Party Representatives for sale. Gift cards can come in any denomination with a minimum amount of $25. Clients can purchase a gift card to give to anyone for any occasion! A form will be sent to you shortly. This form must be filled in and sent into the head office via fax or scanned and emailed to [email protected]. The gift card will then be sent to you to hand off to the client. Gift Cards will be counted toward your party at the time of purchase. When a Miche Bag customer is redeeming a gift card through you, the amount of the gift card will not count toward your total, yet the remaining amount the client pays over the amount of the gift card will be put towards your total. Gift cards can be purchased in a flat amount, IE $50 or in the amount of a kit IE, $118.65 (amount of kit plus shipping and taxes). When a flat rate is being redeemed, the taxes and shipping will be charged at that time. 27 Hope Shell The Miche Max and Classic “Hope” shell is a proud addition to Miche Bag Canada. We believe that it is a shell of true hope and inspiration to every person who views it. Miche Bag Canada will be donating $5.00 from each Hope shell that is purchased to the Childhood Cancer Foundation. This Canadian charity focuses on cancer research and support of cancer patients and their families. Since the introduction of the Hope shell, Miche Bag Canada has raised thousands of dollars. It has been an honour presenting the proceeds to the Childhood Cancer Foundation. The Hope classic and max shells feature a black faux leather base with inspirational phrases printed in white across the shell. These shells are beautifully crafted and a proud item for any woman's collection. *New Multi & Yellow Hope Shells With the voices of the few we salute the millions by supporting the fight against cancer. The Hope (multi) Shell for Max, Classic and Mini features multi-coloured inspirational quotes from cancer survivors on white faux leather with pink, blue and yellow accents and yellow and black inspirational quotes from cancer survivors on silver faux leather background. The ultra-chic "graffiti" design is a Miche original. Know you are helping! A portion of ever purchase of the Hope Shell goes directly to cancer research—At Miche we believe in giving back for a greater cause. Please note that the Canadian Hope shells will not have the featured pink ribbon on the front of the shell. We cannot use the ribbon as it is a trade mark of the Breast Cancer Society and the Canadian trade mark laws are different from the US. 28 Prices for the Hope Shell Classic Hope Shell- $25.00 Max Hope Shell- $50.00 (The Hope shell cannot be discounted and cannot be taken as incentives). The Hope shell will be exclusively sold through our Home Party Representatives and through phone orders, so show them with pride as this item is special just for you! Please remember that HPR’s will not be able to get a discounted price on the Hope shells nor will reps or hosts be able to use the Hope shell in their incentives due to the charity element to this shell. Charitable Donations It is exhilarating to see our HPR’s active with so many different charitable organizations across the country. Miche Bag Canada would like to help you expand your charitable efforts to include silent auctions and/or raffles! This means that you will have more say in what to donate a Miche Classic Bag to. We will not require that your event be that of a registered charitable organization, which means that local fundraisers and charitable benefits will be approved (includes community events, church bazaars, Jack & Jill’s, athletic fundraisers, personal fundraisers etc.). To allow the new changes to take place, we have changed the format of approval for your event. Please review the following instructions. In support of the donation to your charitable event, you must provide one (1) of your own base bags and at least two (2) shells, leaflets, Miche Bag Poster (attached as document to email) and your business card at event. Miche Bag Canada will replace your base bag donation if the following qualifications are met for your event. A photo is sent to Miche Bag Canada of the Miche Bag displayed in the silent auction or raffle Name of winner or event organizer, telephone number and permission to publish their information (Telephone number will not be published) A short paragraph on the event and how it went Submit charity information along with your next party order (replacement bags will be sent out through party orders only) Only Classic base bags will be considered for reimbursement Once we have received the above information regarding your event we will review your event and if it meets the qualifications we will send you out a new base bag with your next order! 29
